Bowden was suffering from jet lag. As he was addressing the assembled golfers before the tournament started, he thanked us for attending the Auburn golf outing.

It looks like the outing is sold out. If the team has another good season they might have to go to 2 flights like they do for Basketball.

Nick is a really personable kid. Always has a smile on his face and a happy attitude. He just doesn't have the focus needed to put all those physical skills to use on a consistent basis. I'm hoping that where ever he lands he uses those skills to make something out of his life.

Ivey is going to be a Grey shirt. Harney is either transferring to a D2 or going pro overseas.

Zekes is not lacking for female companionship.

Green and other Summit Co. communities pay the Sheriff for police services. It's a way better deal than having their own police departments.

Please stop trying to paint this tax as just a way to get the Zips basketball program a new arena. The sales tax is supposed to generate $20 million a year. The arena will get $7 million and the county will use the other $13 mill to finance the jail and other county operations. That's a 35-65% split of revenue. So if you can accept the $59 per year cost to the average household that means less than $20 per year for the arena. Less than the cost of one trip to Mickey D's for a family of four.

Coach Rembielak's suspension sure doesn't seem to have a negative effect. Since his return the team has been playing pretty inspired ball. The final game of the season whipping by Can't was meaningless. I would suspect that coach was holding back his pitching to set it up for the MAC tourney run.

I watched We Are Marshall the other night. One of the best scenes is when WVU coach Bobby Bowden let's the new coach at MU watch film of WVU running the veer. Two WVU players come into the room and they have helmets with a MU tribute sticker on them. The Bowden family has class.

Jim Tressel apparently withdrew candidacy for University of Akron president after he was offered presidency at Youngstown State .

They were just wishing for anybody but Tressel.

Unfortunately he never accepted my bet. All I will say about the new guy is be careful what you wish for.
