  1. Why don't you "friend" him or send him a Tweet? (This is the guy/legend)
  2. Where is he now?
  3. Maybe to win multiple NBA Championships? How many Cavs 2nd year players would trade places with Norris Cole? Nah...hope Zeke gets drafted by the Cavs, Bucks or Hawks. It's all about building character once you get to the NBA.
  4. Too bad it won't be until 2015 at the earliest, and 2016 most-likely, before we see him on the field for meaningful minutes. It is a good timetable for him to have 2 seasons to learn under Pohl...but for fans it is a long time to wait. Hope Pohl gives us some excitement before the Kincade Era begins. And sets some records for Kincade to break. I wonder if Tommy Woodson is reading this thread and quoting Lee Corso..."Not so fast, my friend." Woodson/Pohl/Kincade or Moore/Nicely/Franco Hmmmm....which to choose....?
  5. Somewhere, a guy named Keener is calling you a pansy.
  6. People that prefer them do so for tradition's sake. Saturday afternoon is college football time. But that's for the BCS programs. Akron needs to find a niche, away from the din of the BCS. Night football isn't a solution for automatic sell-outs, but it helps small-market teams like the Zips, where the game isn't some long-engrained fall tradition, but something fun to do on a Saturday once your honey-do list and kid's stuff is done.
  7. I don't believe "early" signings exist. However, once he enrolls at UA in the spring of what would be his senior HS year, he would then lose a year's eligibility if he decided to drop-out/transfer. But I don't see any of that happening. He seems like the "Zeke" of UA football. WPa roots and all.
  8. Tighten the drag and set the hook, Zipmeister.
  9. Love the 6pm September starts! Lots of kids are playing baseball, lacrosse, football, etc on fall Saturday mornings and afternoons. It gives parents in my age bracket a chance to attend their kid's events and also Zips football games. All-day tailgating in great September weather is a bonus for quite a few people too.
  10. Will Steve McNees buy me a post-game beer at New Castle's famous Villavova Inn? If so, I'm in.
  11. Lottery players have less income and education than non-players.
  12. There is a big stadium and an arena in downtown Cleveland. They were paid for by a sin tax...a tax on alcohol and cigarettes. What society segment consumes the greatest amount of alcohol and cigarettes? The poor. I look outside the doorway of my Company and I see 10 hourly Production workers for every 1 salary employee taking a smoke break. Our schools are funded by the state lottery. Who plays the lottery? Predominately, the poor. Scamming the poor and stupid is the foundation of our society. It builds our stadiums and educates our kids. InfoCision Corp is no worse than any city or state government. To the poor and stupid I say - Thanks for the stadium.
  13. I agree. The 27 year old A.J. is a guy I see is on the fast-track to a BCS-level coaching position. I will enjoy him while we have him.
  14. Ok. Then I guarantee that skank isn't getting a Christmas card from Q.
  15. Summary - Wistercill - NOT on Q's Christmas card list Dambrot - ON Q's Christmas card list
  16. Due to our coaching turnover, there is a big void in the Junior and Senior classes. Do you feel it is best for the University to play a bunch of Freshman and Sophomores and try to beat the likes of Toledo and OU? Or is it best to create some competition and depth with D1, 5th year transfers? Try to win some games in 2013 instead of 2015? How many offensive lines full of Freshman and Sophomores are competitive? The Zips have won 3 games in three seasons. K.e.n.t. did that in a month last season. A couple times. Did you see any of the back up QB's in the Spring? They were terrible. We need a 5th year guy to push Pohl, and as insurance if he falters or gets injured. One-and-done 5th year seniors are necessary for the Zips. Unless they want to win 3 more games...over the next 3 seasons...again. It has ZERO to do with Bowden's resume.
  17. His teammates. The University's basketball image (nationally-televised 40-point beat-down). The kids wearing the #11 jerseys around the JAR. Mid-season 5lb pot dealing (not just puffing) is a pretty selfish endeavor. It pretty-much forfeits your right to re-join the team. Too bad. His #11 would have eventually hung in the rafters.
  18. If Diggs sat out an entire season for a lesser alleged offense, no way Abreu steps foot in the JAR again without buying a ticket. There will be some desperate lower-level program that will take a flyer on him, if he chooses to continue playing basketball. But he will not be a Zip. Can anyone see Wistercill permitting a convicted 3rd degree felon on the team? The Zips are a perennial NCAA-caliber team, not a desperate bottom-feeder. The AA ship has sailed.
  19. McCray was caught up in a numbers game where FSU decided to go with youth. He wasn't substantially better than the youth, so FSU told him if he wanted to play, to move on. We will also be getting another FSU transfer (OL). And an OL from Wisconsin (with 2yrs immediate eligibility). And, potentially, a big OL from Pitt. CJ Mizell still has classwork to pass. Amato's #1 priority is to make sure he passes. 2 DL's from Colorado State are on their way. The Colorado QB is expected to give Pohl a run for his money.
  20. And in what appears to be a very slow month...we now have a leader for the coveted "Post of the Month" award. Get the case of Rice-a-Roni ready for shipment, Don Pardo.
  21. I wonder who has more career coaching wins, Keith Dambrot or Bill Walsh?
  22. I wonder if Dalton Williams will have a better career in Dallas than former QB Steve Walsh?
  23. Did you know that Minnesota Vikings rookie kicker Blair Walsh was 9-9 from 50+ this past season?
  24. What was Dan Basch's HS alma mater?
