  1. Other schools in Division 1 football seem to find success without Jim Tressel. In fact, every successful D-1 program is enjoying it's success this season without Jim Tressel. Why can't the Zips identify such a coach?
  2. How many Florida kids on our roster? 1? How many Ohio kids? 50? I wouldn't recruit any of this coach's kids either. He seems like a jerk.
  3. You saw it at K.e.n.t. last year: 30 seconds to go until halftime, in the red zone, with THREE time outs remaining...and he centered the ball for a field goal. The guy doesn't know what it takes to win a football game.
  4. Possibly? I would think you'd know for certain if you were in attendance.
  5. How'd he feel about the FG attempt, down by 20 in the 4th qtr? Love cutting the margin from 20 to 17 with 8 minutes left. Nice job Rob. Way to quit. FU and your process.
  6. 27-16 OU wins"The Playmaker" throws for 172 yards, completes 14 passes, and the Zips faithful pen endless prose regarding his ever-growing legend.
  7. Guten morgen, all!See you at the game...unfortunately youth basketball runs until 3:00pm, so we will be a game-time arrival yet again.
  8. LR8 has shown he can run for a 1st down when the pocket collapses. He's a tough kid. Other than that, he hasn't shown much positive. If he needs to rely on the actual play-call, rather than running around like Fran Tarkenton, he's struggled. He had the chance to lead the team to wins against FIU and EMU, and the Zips offense fizzled in both 4th quarters. LR8 needs to pick up his game. Big time. Butchie could win, Frye could win, Getsy could win...even Jacquemain could win. It is tough watching such terrible QB play after a string of pretty decent ones.
  9. I thought ribs were scheduled for CMU and chili for Can't.And anything goes for OU (just trying to bait CK into posting the first chair bonger once again )?Greetings from Germany!Keener is correct, anything goes for this week's tailgate. CMU is the rib burnoff.
  10. Picking Kansas to get upset in the Big Dance by a mid-major is like shooting fish in a barrel.
  11. Temple seems to be doing a nice job.
  12. I'm sure it is, since that is the total compensation including car allowance, etc. $1,147,400 (2-years worth of compensation) for 2* wins? Great deal for the Zips. * Note - I think we will beat K.e.n.t. this season, so the combined 2-year win total will be "3."
  13. On February 8th, I wonder if their fat-ass center will try to kick any of our guys again?
  14. I'd rather it read like this:
  15. Sconiers was originally a Brookhart recruit.
  16. I believe Brian Wagner is our best player. WAY better than Suel or Chisholm. And Brookhart recruited him.
  17. ESPN "guys" tried to fixed the flawed QB rating with their own. I have always gone by one rating for a QB...THE WIN COLUMN/CHAMPIONSHIPS. Some QBs are winners, while others are not. Reminds me of the old horse racing adage - "Don't tell me how fast he is, tell me who he's beaten." People keep telling me what a playmaker LR8 is...all I see is a sub 50% completion percentage, two consecutive 4th quarter duds and 1-7 through October. Prove me wrong, Kemosabe.
  18. You said it, not me.
  19. I will agree with you, Dave. We lost, we were doubled in yardage, etc, etc, etc. But we didn't look like clowns doing so. At least I watched a mildly competitive football game for almost 4 quarters. It's been a while since I could make that statement.
  20. Now THAT'S turning lemons into lemon-aid!
  21. The 2012 ones?
  22. The biggest Playmaker for the Zips in the FIU game was FIU's #71. His post game film session will not be pretty. FIU had 10 penalties. That was the Zips best offense for most of the day.
  23. We have absolutely no chance to win 4 games this season. K.e.n.t. is looking like a good chance at a win. Other than that, we're screwed. Buffalo might be close, but we'll be an underdog. Miami might overlook us...they have a history of doing that against MAC bottom-feeders. But there is no way this Zips team wins 3 games out of their remaining 6. Not after winning only 2 of Ianello's previous 18. And - Ianello isn't going anywhere. He's here for the next 2 seasons even if he duplicates his Year #1 multiple times. A scenario that appears quite possible.
  24. I agree, and I'm as big of a PN fan as anyone but Moore is a playmaker and that's something we desperately need. Playmaker? What games are you guys watching? What plays is LR8 making? So he gets a couple 1st downs on broken play scrambles...he is doing a lousy job as a QB. He had 11 completions on Saturday?! ELEVEN!? He's completing 48% of his passes on the season. He had a chance to win at EMU last week and disappeared. Because of a bungling, inept penalty-riddled FIU effort LR8 again had a chance to lead the Zips to victory this Saturday and failed (overthrown pass to a wide open WR, and then his red zone fumble). Our quarterback play has been terrible this season. There's no lipstick anyone can slather on that pig to make a sane person think otherwise.
