  1. I don't have to guess, I'll tell you exactly why I was not on. I cooked for a tailgate party Friday night, got up early Saturday morning and started heating up what I prepared the night before, drove down to the stadium at 10:30 am, tailgated for 3+ hours before the game, sat in the scorching sun watching the game for 3+ hours, tailgated after the game and discussed the loss in the parking lot with other fans, and then drove home. After a full day of pouring my heart into the Zips and watching the poor display on the field I really didn't feel like getting on ZN. I was pretty spent.+1
  2. Rogers gets a full week to prepare for CMU and then 2 full weeks to prepare for the remainder of the season. I say we ride him...unless Nicely is better. If Nicely is better, he should play. Since JD needs to keep his job, I assume he will play the QB that gives him the best chance to win. He'd be a fool not to.Neither QB will be successful if we don't get better o-line play and improved play-calling. Putting our QB in 2nd-and-9 situations every series will be the death of any QB. If JD's play-calling doesn't start getting us in a position to move the chains, if he keeps running up the middle on 1st down, Nicely will be as ineffective as Rogers was on Saturday.Jacquemain is done. D-O-N-E done.
  3. Winner! Sold who's books? To get money to buy what?
  4. To me. everything points to Rodgers being successful.Last week the running game was stagnant until he entered. That slow-developing hand off that always netted 1 yard with Jacquemain all the sudden began netting real yardage. Rodgers threat to run, vs. Jacquemain's threat to plod gives the advantage to Rodgers. Rodgers can avoid a sack. Jacquemain never could. Rodgers can toss the ball up in the air and let Bowser out-leap the cornerback just as Jacquemain could. We lose the seam route. Rodgers arm isn't as good as Jacquemain's. But he can hit Bruce underneath just as successfully as Jacquemain. And I like our chances with Rodgers vs. Jaquemain in a tight game. Rodgers MIGHT have poise. I know Jacquemain didn't.
  5. Will Zips soccer out-draw K.e.n.t. football this weekend? Looks to be that way.
  6. We'll keep our eyes peeled for you, Hoo.
  7. It will take 1 - 2 years to complete due to $$.Will it be like on the pictures of the project? It should be...but I think it all revolves around the available cash. I found out about it when I asked about the longevity of Lot #9. I was essentially told it will probablyexist next season...MAYBE the 2011 season too. After that, it is expected that the dorm project will be complete. Might there still be game-day parking there even after the dorms are complete? I hear it is a possibility, but I don't know any details. My gut feeling is, with enrollment continuing to increase, the dorms will happen more sooner than later. They're needed.
  8. It will take 1 - 2 years to complete due to $$.
  9. Big pic size. But to reduce it would be a crime.
  10. Chappell and Finch don't scare me.
  11. Hey, back in 2007 no one liked my idea! It's like a joke...I guess it's all in the delivery.
  12. Do you have need of a cow bell? I did also play a stick and block in my elementary school music class for a while. You're in!
  13. I have an idea for a new InfoCision tradition:We create a Tailgate Lot #9 band. Every hour, up until 1 hour prior to game time, the "band"...for the moment I will name them "Ohio's Embarrassment"...plays Beer Barrel Polka and In Heaven There is No Beer. That's it. Then they go back to drinking beer for another 55 minutes. No rehearsals. Practice at home with your own sheet music. Fans too musically-skilled will be removed from the band. I'm in on trumpet. Who else can dust off an old instrument? Someone here had to quit playing the baritone in 10th grade?
  14. Akron 3Indiana 1Will there be more than 4 people working concessions at this game?
  15. Sounds good to me. We don't know how good Indiana is, and we don't know much about ourselves right now either.I hope this game starts to tell us a lot more.....and I hope it's good I just wish we could play Michigan the following week so we could truly gauge our team.
  16. Hoosiers Real Test Will Be vs. Michigan?
  17. Coach is concerned about Akron's crowd noise...whooda ever thunk it?
  18. Yep, there were a ton on the field before the game. I think JD said in his press conference yesterday that there were 45 recruits at the game. I'm sure there will be a big amount at the Indiana game, as well. I have to believe that experience will get some of those guys to commit pretty quickly.45 recruits and only about 9 scholarships remaining to offer. We should get some really good kids out of the those final 9 schollies.
  19. I maintain the guy is way over-hyped. He played a decent game against a BCS team for the first time in his life. Good for him. Jacquemain tore up Syracuse too. Don't look for Michigan State in the Rose Bowl this season. For me, this will be a fun thread to recap on a weekly basis.
  20. PD Article on JarvisMy favorite passage --Around K.e.n.t., where football angst comes in a heartbeat, this news would immediately signal yet another losing season. But Martin, with team captain Brian Lainhart sitting beside him, threw down his battle ax instead.Martin, the sixth-year coach who has yet to see a winning season, went on to say even without K.e.n.t.'s starting tailback and starting QB, it is time for coaches and players to collectively "show up.""I guarantee right now we're going to have a winning season, and we're going to a bowl game," Martin said. "I'm burning the ships." That was a reference to Vikings burning their vessels when they arrived at the lands they expected to conquer.Lainhart looked momentarily stunned What are the odds K.e.n.t. wins 3 games this season? 50 - 1?I'm with Lainhart.
  21. I think last Saturday was a pretty good advertisement for the Indiana game. If the fans don't want to come back and do it again this week, if they didn't go home and tell their friends about the great time they had and recommend the place, shame on them.I think UA is doing an good job of keeping the game visible.
  22. I learned to dislike the guy when he stiffed JD on Signing Day and elected to attend K.e.n.t. He'll finish his career 1 - 3 vs. the Zips...stuck on the sidelines of their empty, crappy stadium...watching his teammates limp to a 2-10 season.I am sorry to hear his career is over. Especially in that fashion. But since he stiffed us for K.e.n.t., I'm not shedding any tears. At least he had a really nice high school career. And maybe he can root for the Zips the rest of the way out. It would be fun for him to root for a winner, I'm assuming."On the Hunt"
  23. I wouldn't mind seeing him tote the ball in goal-line situations.
  24. I thought the band was great on Saturday.
  25. It's a "Roo-Blue" Saturday!
