I wish we had more information to offer, but at this time the University has told the public jack-squat regarding tailgating and parking.Also - we play the Hoosiers in soccer the Friday prior to the football game. I highly recommend getting tickets for that on-campus event too.

B) One of my all-time favorite message board posts was from a Marshall fan several years ago on the .bbs board. Apparently, while driving down the road, he saw a Penn State bumper sticker that read "WE ARE...PENN STATE" and he got pissed. He proceeded to follow the guy into a shopping center parking lot and chew him out for ripping off the "WE ARE...MARSHALL" tag line.Poor Penn State fan...he probably just wanted a burrito, and instead got some 3-toothed hillbilly yelling in his face.

I never said it wouldn't get us in the NIT, it just leaves a very slim margin. I said we wouldn't have made the NIT last year if we didn't win the MAC tourney. That's a fact.I think it depends upon which game we lost. We lose game #1,#2 or 3 of the MAC tourney, no NIT. If we lost in the finals, we'd have had a marginal NIT shot. Not a sure thing by any stretch.BTW - No one cares about the NIT but the UA "hard-cores." You only need to look at our last 2 appearances. Attendance went down last season after our 2-deep NIT run. NCAA or bust, baby.

I think there's a fair amount of truth in your angle.Say the Zips did schedule some really tough opponents to begin the season...and we got smoked..started the season 3-8. That would kill a lot of the momentum we got from our MAC Championship & NCAA tourney appearance. If we start the season 10 - 1, the momentum only grows, regardless of who we beat.We shall see...CSU scheduled tough...UA scheduled relatively vanilla. Both are NE Ohio mid-majors and 2009 NCAA tourney participants. You can't have a better comparison of which scheduling strategy is ultimately more effective.

DAMMIT you beat me to the punch!!I went to the Insight Bowl this past December. Todd Reesing was AWESOME. He's 5' 11" with a rocket arm, and tough as nails. If our new recruit is cast from the same mold, we are in great shape.

Not that it matters...but it was also ran on page 1 of the "print" PD. I can't say I have a big problem with the article either. It's lame, but I don't have a problem with it.I think is is always interesting to point out the absolute atrocity that is K.e.n.t. football. As bad as our 2008 campaign was @ 5-7...it would be cause for a ticker-tape parade and a 10-year contract extension @ K.e.n.t. They have had coaches going 3+ years without reaching 5 wins!

I could have sworn we were scrounging for scraps only three weeks ago?We were. Now we're right about where we should be, maybe a little on the low end, as far as quantity of verbals. The quality of the recruits is very good, however.Verbals seem to come in waves. I hope that this will cause some other top prospects out there to follow suit.I just hope this group of recruits does not split.Wouldn't we just lose two then?Inside scoop -- I hear this particular recruit liked our coaching staff, facilities and other things.
