  1. Quite a few "man wide open" calls by French today.
  2. Small bump if it's mostly sunny around noon. Also, Tosu is on bye week for another small bump. Notre Dame plays at 3:30 so mostly just Protestants at Infocision and rumor has it 90% of students will be at work. It's getting cooler out so the MU fans will be busy shopping for new sweaters in Cincinnati
  3. I'll predict a Zips win and a small crowd (55 degrees & cloudy, boring opponent). Also, there will be 1 and only 1 additional element of the CG36 dive package used/revealed.
  4. http://gozips.com/sports/wbkb/2014-15/releases/2014100603nq8a
  5. Ignore the Vegas line and play them like they're the Miami Hurricanes and we are big underdogs (although I must say it's great to have the ace in the hole that we do...hopefully we can keep saving it til later...)
  6. CBA students win national financial planning competition - http://www.uakron.edu/im/news/ua-financial-planners-win/
  7. 2005 http://football.stassen.com/cgi-bin/records/fetch-team.pl?team=Akron
  8. Oregon, Oklahoma and Alabama all lost...that will shake up the polls. The playoff selection poll should also be out this week or next.
  9. Redhawks won the 2nd half 21-0 to beat UMass by 1. Next week will be no cakewalk.
  10. Kris Givens pick http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:11639884 Conor Hundley TD run http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:11640230
  11. Switzer is struggling
  12. More FB Grice, please.
  13. TAMmies are going down to Miss. State.
  14. Sloppy start but receivers are stepping up in bad weather.
  15. http://zipsnation.org/forums/topic/32060-gozipscom-mens-basketball-holds-first-practice-of-the-2014-15-season/#entry227908
  16. Listening to the games, I hear SFPBPA say "he was wide open" a couple times per quarter it seems. It's probably more of an issue with linebackers trying to drop into correct coverage as needed. No defense can lock down all receivers on every play but hopefully that phrase can be used less than half a dozen times per game vs. our MAC opponents.
  17. I'll set the over/under for Zips dropped passes at 4.5. Wet weather would mean fewer passes but a slipperier ball. I'll set the over/under for EMU wide-open receiver catches at 7.5 (for entertainment purposes only...IANAB).
  18. And Weis will retire a wealthy man, receiving $5.6M through 2016 per footballscoop.com.
  19. No, underdogs. It's -22.
  20. Be sure to click on the "Too Low" button for the Zips. At least it gets us a little name recognition for all the eyeballs that look at the poll. We are almost into the top half
  21. +1. Play them like they're the Michigan State Spartans. Don't even look at the Vegas line on this one...pretend we are the underdogs at home. Run the ball, catch every pass, no turnovers, no dumb penalties. Go Zips!
  22. Amazing to think that he was head coach (interim) at Notre Dame after Weis was fired. Makes for a good bar trivia question. The silver lining may be that our AD's present and future won't be allowed to make any more big hires on their own without considerable oversight from a team of university staffers and/or outside consultants.
  23. [Humor]Losing to Penn State after the big Howard victory.[/Humor]
  24. Available again? Our receivers have been struggling a bit...maybe we could use his help? http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24728137/kansas-fires-charlie-weis-after-texas-rout
  25. Use Grice more on offense...3-4 ypc, move the chains, and wear down opponents' defense. I think we have enough depth on DL to do it. Chisolm could start taking reps in practice as slot receiver.
