Even an NIT Final Four banner would represent our highest accomplishment in a Big-3 Div. I sport and would be more impressive to potential recruits than none at all. Casual Akron fans will at least hear about the Zips in the NIT from the TV news and/or newspaper(s). Have we ever beaten a B10 team in hoops? At least we have another opportunity...that has to count for something.

I could see Cooper leaving to start making some $$ in the D league or Europe. He will have 2 trips to the NCAA now with nothing much left to accomplish in the MAC. And if Groce leaves, would DJ want to readjust to a new coach for 1 year? If he keeps working on the off-balance, fall-away, left-handed junk trey with a hand in his face, the Cavs may come calling at some point too!

Looks nice but appears to take a crew of 15-20 several hours to change over...rather expensive to operate.

There was a search committee and paid consultant to help TW. There were 2 other coaches that turned the job down before it was TB's. But if we're winning games in a couple of seasons maybe TW can claim a share of the credit, paint the iCoach episode as a learning/growing experience, and ride off into a 'big school' job.
