I like our defense too, but they need to put more pressure on the QB and not give him so much time to pass or run. Makes things harder for the db's.

The official figures are 31,000 but larger crowds with SRO (standing room only) have witnessed events at the Rubber Bowl. The stadium has the whole end zone seating covered over so 25,000 might even be a bit high an estimate.

I'm not a crouch fan, but this assessment seems a bit harsh. Kemme is a good player and did a very good job at NC St. All the touchdowns went to his side, 1 right and 2 left. Roll the tape.

You are correct and I believe the reason he was benched was because of the facemask penalty he committed on the series before. He was melting down and was pulled off the field before getting tossed by the ref. I hope Kemme is our new left tackle. All three td's came over Chris. Once when he was right tackle, and two over left. The boy can play. After crouch left, we started moving the ball again. We also don't need a team leader who seems to lose his head every game. If he would or could move his feet, he wouldn't get flagged so often. All the linemen need to improve their games. Holding penalties, false starts, etc. really killed some momentum the offense was developing. I've watched the game four times and I don't think he played well. Slow and out of shape is how he looked to me. I don't think so. I also don't want to play them. They can't help us, but I'm not worried about them anymore. We couldn't beat them when Gerry was coaching. 2-6-1

I was at that game. It may have been the first game in the renovated stadium. An amazing kick. I disagree about the even keel. I love the enthusiasm when we do great things on the field. If you had Joe Monotone, you wouldn't be able to appreciate that the play he described was special. When he gets super jacked up, it is hard to understand him, like at the MACC, but he goes over it again to clear the air. BTW, I think the game was in 1982 and it was Heckman.

I believe it. The funny thing is that they were outplayed throughout the game and had it not been for Akron not executing they would have been out of the contest in the first half.

Last years result should be plenty of motivation for this team. Get the penalties squared away and the kicking game sorted out before saturday. IMO

We don't play west teams every year. We didn't play Toledo last year, and don't play N. Illinois this year for example. The fires at Akron were not a result of a sporting event. Just to set the record straight.

Buffalo is 117 and next years member, Temple, is dead last at 119.
