Director of Recruiting? I looked on Michigan's website, and 5 coaches have donors in their titles. For example, Harbaugh's title is J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach. If Bell & Joel each have residences/places to stay down there, that makes a lot of sense. I'd definitely believe if Kaulig is chipping in, too. Side note: not sure I realized how good Joel's background is.

Following the staff on Twitter, I'd imagine @Zipmeister is right about an inflated recruiting budget allocation. Especially in the off-season, guys like Joel & Tre practically lived in Florida. Our northeast recruiting has picked up with Ferri. We went further west more often than I remember in the past, too (Oklahoma & Texas mainly, and I think we even got out to the Pacific Northwest). Getting top talent locally is key, but our additions by in large have not been local.

If you look at the staff JoeMo has assembled, this model makes a lot of sense. Every single coach has P5 and specific geographic connections. For example, Ferri runs the northeast. Joel Rodriguez has heavy Florida ties (Butch Davis prodigy). Etc. Etc. The staff is full of experience & connections. The prestige of JoeMo cannot be understated when it comes to his importance to our program. We get more with less because of him.

Also, what are our competitors in the MAC doing so far for the c/o 2024?

This. Furthermore, this rush of commits is happening right after camp season, meaning these guys are traveling around and after they get to Akron, they're sold on us. Not Toledo (Smith attended their 7on7), not P5 schools - Akron is where they want to be. AND these are OHIO kids. Amazing what JoeMo & staff are building.

Holy crap. These are legitimate high school recruits. Beating out multiple P5s for each guy, plus many MAC schools - that's a sign that the tides are truly turning for this program under JoeMo. Edit: When's the last time we either 1) beat out multiple P5s & MAC schools for recruits or 2) secured top talent in NEO? Let alone both?

@catdaddyp What do we know about these guy's recruiting profiles so far? I know you said Keyveon is switching positions, which might change his recruiting landscape, but I can't find squat on him or Hunter regardless. Edit: Looks like Twitter had Hunter receiving offers from WKU & Arkansas State (Butch Jones). Solid list.

Not sure how JMU can be a favorite when he didn't include their mascot in the graphic, unless I'm blind and missing something. Looks like ODU, App State, Akron, and GASO for the mascots represented...

Can't imagine why X got signed but not Carry. Carry is an exemplary young man, reflecting only the best characteristics a human can have. He's humble with a great attitude. Can't believe he didn't get signed.
