I like the other cat better.

Top MAC/Sun Belt would all join the AAC before the top AAC/MAC/Sun Belt created their own conference. AAC has the most lucrative media deal already in place, and that's what this realignment is all about. AAC is underrated, even with the Cincy/UCF/Houston departures. Tulane beat USC in the Cotton Bowl. UAB, Charlotte, ECU, FAU, Memphis, Navy, North Texas, USF, SMU, Temple, Wichita State (basketball) are all formidable opponents. Their dead weight is really just Rice. Temple, UTSA, and Tulsa are the other members I haven't mentioned yet. I would take ALL of them over EMU/WMU/CMU/NIU/Balls/etc. There are 6 slots available for the top 6 ranked conference champions in the new 12 team playoff format. - American - ACC - Big12 - Big Ten - CUSA - MAC - MW - PAC12(?) - SEC - Sun Belt ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC are locks for 4 slots, and probably the top 4 that get the automatic BYE to the Quarterfinals. That leaves 2 slots available for the American, CUSA, MAC, MW, PAC12(?), and Sun Belt. We all know this is all about money, and since we live in an imperfect world, let's say the ranking preferences will go as the following... - PAC12(?) - American - MW - MAC/Sun Belt - CUSA 4 conferences are on the outside looking in. 6 conferences have to counter the recent P5 realignment to bolster their position in the playoff race and media deal race. What happens? Who knows; we'll see. This will be fun to watch, though.

Utah, Arizona, and Arizona State to the Big 12. Oregon and Washington to the Big Ten. PAC12 has 4 teams left - Wash St., Oregon St., Stanford, and Cal. Things have been moving quickly the last 48 hours. Expect more movement to happen quickly in the coming weeks. - Does the PAC12 dissolve completely, or do they absorb the Mountain West? - If the Mountain West/PAC12 join somehow, does the American Athletic Conference look to counter with growth? - The ACC hasn't been touched, although teams like Florida State have drawn interest (naturally, they're a fit for the SEC). If they're cherry picked, who do they backfill with?

Our practice field is indoors. I'm sure Joe wants the guys to be conditioned in the heat and outside environment. Plus they can get more familiar with sightlines in the stadium.

For those keeping track, the sportsbooks are favorite Akron to have 4+ wins. On 5/24, the Over 3.5 wins was -105 on FanDuel. Over 3.5 wins is now -162.

10-4 Temple W. Indiana W. MAC Champs. Bowl Win.

Akron to the PAC12. Very bias article against the conference realignment. I think there are a lot of factors not mentioned by the author. Regardless, fascinating times for college athletics.

How rare is it for a program to have their class sewn up before the season even starts? -

That didn't take long. Ah I found Dahvon's profile finally on Rivals. Wasn't pulling up in my Google search. -

Where are you seeing OU offered both? 247 only has OU offering Jahvon. Jahvon's build looks like Myles Garrett. Holy smokes. I'm surprised to hear that Dahvon looks like the more explosive one, just based on build. Incredible gets. This staff knows how to get it done. Can't wait to see the results on the field. -

The American Athletic Conference has our name on it someday. I will never buy that Guthrie does not want to go to a new conference. He has to publicly - and even privately with many people - state that he likes the MAC. No way does an AD of a school like Akron, with strong geographics and solid facilities, not want to put conference elevation on their resume. -

Until it happens (or doesn't), I will always wonder if part of the Guthrie/JoeMo alliance is getting Akron into a new conference. -

All the smart jocks go to Northwestern

My Northwestern Under 3.5 Wins bet... -
That's an enticing line. They had a large transfer class with 11 incoming, which would be my main hesitation, but their offense last year was anemic. Doubtful we get blown out.
-
Wow this is sharp. Operates extremely smoothly with user friendliness. Well done UA. Guthrie with another W.

I'm sure Northwestern fans thought they'd beat Southern Illinois last year. Was pretty surprised under 3.5 was +100.
