LMU hangs on by 1 in OT. Great game. Morgan State doesn't quite have the talent - yet - but they play hard. Solid lower-end mid major win for Akron. Also, my favorite non-Akron player in CBB is #34, KELI LEAUPEPE, for LMU.

If anyone is bored on this Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Morgan State is up on Loyola Marymount in the 2nd half. LMU is coming off of back to back wins against Georgetown and Wake Forest. This is an incredible, free stream on the West Coast Conference site. https://wccsports.com/watch/?sid=494116 Edit: #34 for LMU has a beautiful head of lettuce/mustache combination.

Groce is the exact opposite of Kowalchoke when it comes to March, so come January 1st, I will not be taking the Toledo futures bet to win the MAC Tourney. Not sure AAU ball will do well in the MAC if it isn't doing well against Bradley, Oakland, IPFW, and Winthrop. In their DI games, they've given up less than 80 points in a game just once - 74 to IPFW - and have given up 88, 89, 92 (OT), and 101 in the other 4 DI losses. Heath Ball is literally the exact opposite of Murphy Ball. Fixed it for him.

Seeing the plan and executing the plan are two different challenges. Quite frankly, most teams should be able to shut down a 6'7" post player just based on sheer size difference, but they don't 95% of the time. I also trust that the coaching staff and Enrique will identify this "flaw" and work hard to limit its effect on Enrique's overall production. Making our perimeter shots will also go a long way towards opening up the game for Enrique.

I don't know if that point was missed. I think what @Reslife4Life was getting at was when the ball is inevitably forced out of X/Enrique's hands, it isn't finding its way into the hands of a player that dribbled the air out of the ball for the remainder of the shot clock, only to put up a circus shot half the time. I recall having to win last year with rebounding and scrappy defense because of wasted possessions by Ali Ali's isolation habits. You named 2-3 players that the ball is finding (add Nate Johnson into that discussion as well), and it's up to them to start making the shots. But those aren't necessarily bad possessions vs. an isolation possession where the ball doesn't move. I agree with Reslife that the offense does indeed look better, we just need to start capitalizing on the improved flow and make our shots. Looking at the box score from Nevada's game against KSU, they were out-rebounded 36-22, although they do average 37 RPG. This should be a good game. I wish we had Dawson for this game (I wish we had Dawson in general), as Nevada is BIG at guard (6'6" and 6'4" for their main guards).

3 QBs from the MAC selected. In addition, our friend Terrell Buckley is coaching the Orlando squad. It will be interesting to see if this becomes a true middle tier of football that can give guys one more chance at the NFL dream.

Mississippi State just beat Shaka's Marquette squad.

Barring an epic collapse from Kansas State, our 3rd game will be against one of Nevada (MWC) or Kansas State (Big 12). This is the best OOC we've ever had (that I can remember), and we've done well to handle our business against the mid-majors. Would love to knock off LSU tomorrow. I truly believe the Mississippi State game is different if we didn't play an OT game against a great opponent 4 days prior. The blowout result was most likely due to fatigue and dead legs more than anything. Having to play a very scrappy Morgan State squad 4 days later did not bode well, either. We saw today what we're capable of with fresher legs. I would imagine tomorrow is much closer than the Mississippi State game was in the second half. Geaux Zips!
