  1. Totally true. You do have to fight through bad calls, but you have to admit, no calls or bad calls can change how you play.
  2. On the shooting % and inside game, bad calls and no calls can influence how you play. We try to go inside, but we get mugged and don't get the call, so we settle for jump shots which is a less % shot so our shooting % goes down. This is what I call MAC rocket science.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I hope they do bad (I just hate the MAC and O-Who), but guards can be a huge difference maker. Look at Kansas and Nova. Their studs are guards.
  4. All I can say is, you're going to see a lot less of Nik next week unless we need him.
  5. I think we still deserve the NIT. If Can't truly would've been an NCAA team, they would have made it past the first round, or they would've at least not have gotten blown out like they did. We deserve the NIT because we battled through everything and came out just shy of dancing. Either way, CBI or NIT, I think it's good for us.
  6. At least Bubba wasn't on this team?I wish he was, he'd lose them the game...
  7. +1We need to stop missing the little bunnies here and there, that's something he can't control. Our FT% is way better now than it was earlier, that's something he can control (to a point). One thing I question about Dambrot is why wasn't Zeke in there at the end of regulation instead of Nik? I like Nik, but he sucked these past 2 games. Oh well, we'll get 'em next year.Because Zeke has been a dissapointment all year? I can't criticize coach on this one. Marshall better be MUCH better next year. Then you must've had super high expectations and never lowered 'em. He was a MAN in this tourney. Simple as that. That's all that mattered, too.

  9. I hate O-Who. Absolutely hate 'em, but they deserved this one. We couldn't take advantage of their mistakes, which hosed us. Oh well, I will NOT be rooting for them, but congrats to them. DJ Cooper and Armon Basset are amazing guards.
  10. At the end of the game, I went down and told Mr. McNees, "I LOVE YOUR SON!" True story.
  11. I'm not saying it was the refs' fault, but they definitely helped O-Who. We did get calls at the end when it mattered, but couldn't use it to our advantage. Oh well, O-Who vs. Akron for years to come, just you watch.
  12. Just like last year...
  13. don't put in on your card yet. We still possibly have to beat them. They kept Can't outta the NCAA tourney, I think they deserve some love.
  14. I'm not exactly sure people are claiming him to be a great coach, I just think people want him to succeed because he's classy. I've ripped on him hard this year for his coaching and I still don't like his coaching, but I will always love how classy his program is.
  15. I saw it in theaters with my family. GREAT MOVIE! Very inspirational.
  16. I like your positive thinking but do no not buy into that " beating a team 3 times is tough theory" That is one of those unfounded myths that somehow remains in the world of sports. I think that some coaches say that to keep their teams focused but it's just not true. Take a look at the last two years in the K e n t / Akron series.Love the optimistic thinking, but I agree with Hip Zip. If a team is CLEARLY better than you, then that theory goes out the door. But if a team is close to your level, then yes, it is hard to beat a team 3 times in a row.
  17. OH MY GOSH YES! What a player. He could go to a BCS school and make a difference IMO. The best part is he's only a Jr.
  18. I went early to my high school's sectional game against Kenmore tonight. We watched the entire St. V vs. Northwest game. I was wondering who the recruit is that we are recruiting because if it's Jakarr Sampson, we're set. That guy can flat out play. He's 6'8 with long arms, but an athletic body. He's only a Jr., but he's making a difference all by himself on a team that's full of difference makers. He drove baseline and dunked with 2 hands over 3 defenders! He's AWESOME! If anyone can confirm if we're recruiting him, please reply.
  19. That's what I'm hoping for, too. I think it's very possible if Buffalo beats Can't, then Miami can beat Buffalo and Akron gets the finals against Miami. If this happens, REVENGE TIME BABY!
  20. I didn't even know CSU had a team. I guess you learn something new every week...
  21. I can stomach anyone that isn't being recruited by Can't. I would also prefer good character. I just want to start making a run at being a mid-major powerhouse.
  22. I disagree...we make the NIT if we make MAC tourney championship. No, we make the CBI if we make the MAC championship game. The NIT went out the window tonight.Agreed.
  23. Yeah your right. Wrong choice of words there. And you are right about the recruiting. Although, I think next years' class looks more athletic. How about something with a heart ripping? The "heart-ripping" emoticon? WE GOT OUTHEARTED!
  24. But it's so true. THAT WAS EMBARRASSING PERIOD! Only thing good about tonight was hopefully it's the last game against Can't's seniors. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:
