Was surprised to see him in there as much as he was. Yes it was disappointing not to have a chance to get Egner involved, but at least he wasn't exposed like his former HS teammate was. Defensively, there is NO way he could stay with either Nik or Brett. And we thought Euton's 3-pt shooting style was a little unorthodox. I know it's early, but I think Egner looks to be the far better prospect for college ball. He sure has the smarts; he chose Akron.

I BELIEVE WE BEAT CAN'T STATE! Wow that win was SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! What a difference a year makes. Last year, Zeke got destroyed; this year, Zeke destroys. Last year, our guards didn't help; this year, the guards were HUGE! Abreu is amazing. That spin move drive late in the game was KILLER! Zeke's dunks were MONSTEROUS! The 3-balls were game changing! The crowd was so electric. That's honestly the greatest crowd to EVER attend a Zips game. 5,019 people, not a sellout, but they were surely the loudest and most explosive bunch I've ever seen. When the Zips went on that run, and Steve lobbed that ball to Zeke for the throw down, I thought the building was gonna come down. GREAT turnout by the ROWDIES. Students weren't back yet and they still managed to fill both ends and put a lot of students up top. Great job guys. The NCAA trophy being displayed live, in front of Can't fans, was unreal. I hate Can't State AND their fans, but the ones that cheered, I had the smallest bit of respect for. The 'Kowbell Krew' or whatever they call themselves was downright classless. They tried to rip on our soccer team. Jealousy is a powerful thing I guess. Anyways, go Zips! BEAT DEM BOBKITTIES!

I for one and pumped for this game, though. I honestly don't think Can't knows what's coming. Akron is a different team from the past. We are more athletic (I love saying that word, and applying it to Akron ), bigger, and have a higher basketball IQ than in the past. As for my prediction: Zeke goes off on the Felons. Amen. I want Louisville. First of all, I think they are the most overrated team in the country. Second of all, they've never been to the College Cup before. Third of all, I want Ken Lola to just eat it. You didn't think you could win a championship with Akron, well you sure as heck aren't going to win one with Louisville. I love the idea but the new conference is unbalanced with 9 members. I would prefer 12 members that include Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, and Dayton (moving to FBS). I am curious, where might this leave Can't? Why in the world would a conference want them? It's an automatic turn-off.

I'm a diehard Zips fan, but I just don't know what to do. We always play like A-KRAP, especially when its a decent or good team. I was in the Rowdies cheering stand up, too, but that was a moment of which maybe some more noise would have helped. I'm not going to blame the fans for sitting because every time they go to stand, either a timeout is called, or the opposing team shuts them up. A-krap can never sustain a momentum swing in favor of themselves. It's quite pathetic. I truly hope the talk about those two guys, who are ineligible this year, are the real deal and are ACTUAL athletes. Akron won't make it anywhere unless they somehow find athletes that can play like Norris Cole and Chris Wright. Norris Cole DUNKED ON ZEKE! Zeke didn't really foul him, but that dunk deserved a foul. This is truly embarrassing and I am not going to put anything on the fans until the product on the court doesn't smell like the product in a toilet.

I was brainwashed when I was born. Bleed blue and gold, puke scarlet and gray, and pee Can't yellow. There's no school in Ohio like Akron, at least for me. I know all the players like they are my friends, the Rowdies are like my second family (one VERY large family), and just the atmosphere is fun. What other college allows this? OSUcks is too big; Can't State, well, who would want to get to know them. Bottom line, I'm honored to be a Zips fan.

Very entertaining watching Can't suck, and CSUcks struggle at the line. Norris Cole isn't anything special. He was too fast or explosive from what I could tell. Things to take away from this game: 1) Can't sucks 2) CSUcks isn't much better, if at all. 3) Can't sucks 4) Gary Waters' tooth gap has gotten larger Akron should take care of business against both teams.
