  1. Gasser for Team MVP.
  2. I appreciate that Reghi and Fox are not mincing words concerning our offense.
  3. John Freaking Lako!
  4. +1. Larry Williams has to make a move. Insist Bowden make a move at OC. If not, I suppose we’ve gotta clean house (which I don’t really want to do). This product is not worth spending $$ to watch.
  5. CMU’s QB couldn’t throw it in the ocean.
  6. This is a terrible football game.
  7. Uh, oh. Offense is giving this away. Reghi just said, “Akron, on offense, is incredibly lethargic and just has nothing going on.”
  8. I think Gasser has become my favorite player on the team. ?...?
  9. Man, Lako’s turned into a beast!
  10. Nice call going back to Williams for the bunny. Gotta like that. Well done by all.
  11. I don’t place blame for that drop on Williams. I place blame on Bowden & Miller for having Williams In the game.
  12. Nope. Just been from the area my entire life.
  13. I visited there a couple of times. Cedarville was recruiting me for baseball. Instead I ended up going to Malone for ball, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Cedarville.
  14. Nice seeing talk of the Lady Zippers on this board.
  15. That is awesome. I used to work with high schoolers & so I've been to watch my fair share of CC meets & never thought it was much of a spectator sport.
  16. ABJ (GT): Zips quarterback Kato Nelson holds keys to victory over Central Michigan “I was just impressed with his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands as a runner and also really work through his progression,” Bonamego said of Nelson, a sturdy 6-foot-1 and 215-pounder. “He’s not a stare-down quarterback. ... He has a really strong arm and he can fit the ball through some tight windows.” -CMU head coach John Bonamego.
  17. Nice article on Jamal Davis. ABJ: Jamal Davis casts eye on winning, leaving legacy
  18. I agree. I'm glad he's ambitious and driven... but we've got a looooong way to go.
  19. ABJ (GT): Kato Nelson's development continues against Kent State I did appreciate the moxie Kato demonstrated at the end of the game & overtime. He definitely wants the ball in his hands in crunch time. He hit on 54% of his throws. Considering the weather Bowden was good with that. Otherwise he'd like to see 60%.
  20. What a fantastic hire! I caught 1350, 1480 & 1590 & 100.1 all talking about it yesterday. It was all over my twitter feed as well. This has kicked my excitement for Zips baseball up a few notches. ABJ (Bournival): Zips coach Chris Sabo ready to 'build a good legacy here' That trail (recruiting trail) will burn up Interstates 71, 77, 76 and the Ohio Turnpike as Sabo will focus locally first and take advantage of an area rich in baseball tradition. We have to convince them (recruits) that Akron is the place to be. This is going to be the Ohio baseball school. Love the enthusiasm. This guy really seems to have the attitude and personality of a Caleb Porter.
  21. Great story! Precisely why there should be no athletics budget. Athletics expenditures should be lumped under Marketing. Go Zips!
