  4. Wasn't that Stewart? I don't know if I want to go back and rewatch. Pain. I hate losing to KSUcks. I don't even like it if I happen to overhear someone say "Kent State" in a conversation.
  5. I also forgot there is another Transfer Portal cycle opening May 1-15. I guess to probably give guys a chance to hit the TP after Spring Ball if they find themselves buried deeper on the depth chart than they'd like... or for graduate transfers. Or both. Idk, I'm still not used to two Signing Days and the Transfer Portal.
  6. Doesn’t look like Lemba signed anywhere. What gives?
  7. Jim Tressel must've just resigned/retired from YSU.
  8. Thanks for the post @ComettoZip! Glad to hear from you & I hope Dusty is doing well.
  9. Oh, that's right! I had forgotten. And maybe that'd help land his little brother, Darryn, for Coach Groce!💪💪
  10. I remember one white out game -v- KSUcks at the JAR where we must've lost by 20 points. I still have the shirt 😭😭
  11. This is true. If they wanted to come home I'd still take Darryl Peterson & AJ Kirk though.
  12. I think Brayden was being recruited on potential and his name. He's got a terrific genetic pedigree but never really did much on the field. But I will admit that you guys are correct about Hoban players not really standing out at the college level. There've been a number of Hoban recruits I've wished we'd landed but then they sort of fizzle out at the college level. (Not that I'm hoping Lamar fizzles out.) I'll try to console myself with that fact. lol. Btw, Hoban junior QB Jacquai (sp?) Long is ranked as one of the better QB's in the class of '24 but he really isn't very good. Idk how on earth he's rated as highly as he is. Hoban hasn't been able to keep a defense honest with their passing game since Shane Hamm graduated.
  13. Both Toledo & KSUcks have beaten us to the punch on junior RB Caleb Jones. Jones was Lamar's backup this year. He's VERY good. If he wasn't stuck behind Ohio's Mr. Football he'd have been one of the top RB's in the state. Watch for this dude to blow up next season.
  14. 💯💯
  15. Makes me sick to my stomach he's not going to be a Zip.
  16. Another article from the ABJ concerning the Transfer Portal's effect on high school recruiting.
  17. Thanks. (Out of reactions for today.) @Dr Z & @Captain Kangaroo, is there a reason we still have a limited daily number of reactions?
  18. Still have my fingers crossed on getting two more verbal commits to sign on the dotted line: OL Maurice Long & LB Joshua Bowen Bowen is the 6-3 stud LB from Florida that may have been our first commit of the year (IIRC). Maurice Long is an OL who was recently selected to play for the South in the Ohio North-South All-Star Game.
  19. So Terrence Thomas signed with Purdue as a RB? He's an explosive offensive player. Maybe our tweet listing him as a Safety is a typo? @LZIp
  20. +1. His highlights as a WR were outstanding. He's got the ability to turn screen passes into TD's. Safety, eh? 🧐
  21. Why will they need to be re-offered?
  22. I guess I'll post this article here. It could have gone in a number of different threads. The article talks about how Early Signing Day (December 21st) and the Transfer Portal have taken much of the luster off of the traditional Signing Day which has (always?) been on the first Wednesday of February. One enlightening quote, concerning the impact of the Transfer Portal, from former Zips RB and current Buchtel HC Bryan Williams: “You've got to tell your players, 'If you get an offer and you feel as though that that's the school where you want to be, hey, man, you've got to commit to that school because that offer may not be there.' You got it probably in December, and, in January, it may not be there because they've got a guy that they may pull from the portal. So you have to be strategic.”
  23. Wait a minute. That dude calls us angry? 🤨
