I hope the Zips score at least 4 tds. I hope the defense holds vmi to 10 or less. Most importantly, I hope someone on ZN pm's me that they have a ticket they want to get rid of and maybe a way to get myself and a friend into lot 9.

I had a few friends come to the Temple game and drop some cash (after waiting in line for 30 minutes) on that debacle. I'm enrolled in a couple classes this semester, so my ticket is free. I can no longer find friends that are willing to attend games, so I decided to see what kind of promotions our athletics department is offering. I recalled a couple years back that there were discount tickets available for students to bring additional friends and family with a valid Zip Card. The response I received from the ticket office was less than inspiring: We're not doing that any more because we have a new stadium. Verbatim, this is what he said to me. I did not reply with a smart a$$ comment.I do like the youth promo for this coming Saturday, even though the first time I've heard of it was when I visited gozips.com for a check on ticket prices. Maybe we can brainstorm some new ideas to get people to come to these games. I have a funny feeling that we'll have to be optimistic to break 10,000 for the rest of the season with the exception of the K-ent game.Speaking of K-ent, who made the idiot call that you can't buy single seat tickets for this game? You're REQUIRED to purchase a "flex pack" in order to have the right to buy the inflated price "Rivalry Game" ticket? After hearing some stories from a friend who visited Cincinnati and their gameday experience (in addition to the thread posted in this forum), I'm convinced that this Athletic Department has things completely wrong and are completely inept when it comes to making an environment to want people to attend whether we're winning or not.

Here's my prediction based on previous final scores.Ohio State 42, Temple 41 (-1) = Cincinnati 40Akron Game One 0, Akron Game Two (3) (+3) = Akron 6.40-6 sounds pretty reasonable, and Vegas currently lists Cinci (-33.5). I've clearly uncovered their methodology.

How are you going to feel after we lose by 40 this week? I'm not willing to accept another pile of crap season with 3 games at the end of the year where we start to "look a little better" are you? If the Zips are 1-11 and minimally competitive again this season, what happens? Anything? I don't know, but to me this game was an obvious step back. We were dominated in all facets of the game against a team (I'll give you probably one of the best) in our conference and division. I'll make excuses all day for a lopsided loss to a Big Ten team, but not against a conference foe. On the plus side, Virginia Military (0-2, IAA) appears to be a winnable game.

I share a Passion for this school and all of its teams, like most of you. However, the way I felt leaving at HALFTIME Saturday assures I won't be back this year. I felt embarrassed and sick to my stomach. Embarrassed that the friends that joined me spent their hard earned money on that joke. The kids are trying, you can see it, but the bottom line is that they're either not good enough or they're poorly coached. I can't take another pitiful season. Win some games, or at least make them competitive, and I'll be back. In the meantime, I'll save the $10/car gouging provided at lot 34.

I think Zach's posts are fine, and I think this thread is fine. Treat it as it is, a guy making a suggestion because he dislikes the guy that coaches our Zips. He dislikes our coach to the point that he wants the scandal-embroiled coach of a team he (and a lot of us) desperately hate, to become our next head coach. That's fine. While some of the crap on here gets repetitive, debate is fun. We're all Zips fans and we all have opinions. Respect them here like you do (or should) in the real world. Or ignore the poster

It is about Ianello because you insinuate this season will not show improvement and therefore we'll need a new head coach for next year. The University will NOT eat $1 million from the guy's contract regardless of how poor of a 2nd season he has. And I again, while I don't doubt Tressel's next gig will be at a mid major type school in FBS, I don't think it'll happen in Ohio. The Suckeyes and their sticky fingers are imbedded too far in this state.

We've got a coach in the 2nd year of his initial 5 year contract. The "powers that be" would NEVER allow Jim Tressel to be hired at another school in Ohio, regardless of his potential future "punishment." I understand you hate Ianello, and I was pretty pissed off last year too. Let him get his second season in and see what happens.

Even though football is still two weeks away, I'm getting antsy for some Zips hoops. In previous years, my wife and I (no kids) still purchased a family pack of GA seats for Mens Basketball. Well, this year I've gone back to school so I'll be getting in for free (Hooray for the 30 year old Rowdy). Does anyone know if there's any plans of selling single seat GA season tickets or if they've done so in the past? Or if not, who to question about this? I know some other MAC and mid-major level schools do this sort of thing. I'd love to spend $100 on a single seat GA season ticket. You hear me athletic department?!

23-14 about 8 minutes left in the half. Zips getting a ton of fouls called on them...it appears to be we're a step slow and maybe a little tired. The Canadians are also shooting about 90% from the line. We're 0/1 so far that I've seen. There was also a tech called on Q following a touch foul.
