For just one night I can be a big Bobkitty fan. This should be a good one,

Curious as to what you now think after watching them. As for me, I've been a believer and maybe even a bigger believer now
-
Good student section material: Travon Baker... .Cheap shot Taker....

I made a post about the incident here on Zip Nation about 5 topics back.... Very observant crew we have here.

Zips open up as the 6 pt favorite, I like our chances to cover that.

That McKnight guy for Miami is a player. I'm really impressed with him, and especially so considering he's getting no help from his buds.

The new " brought to you by the Miller ins agency" after every zip 3 wreaks of bush league. Way over the top and bogus as hell....... Ok for the radio but not the house microphone, Good to see Williams get some confidence going. .......

I may have brought this up before, maybe not, but any time you see Kelly Pfeifer come onto the floor in his black and white striped shirt, get the extra large popcorn. it's going to be a long night when he's involved, I hear that he sleeps with his whistle.

"Integrity of the game". I'll never forget when Phil engaged in a cross court exchange with the entire BG crowd at old Anderson Arena. We laughed about it all the way home and still talk about it occasionally. He was a character for sure. Good times......

Done watching, will just listen. Unbelievable how bad the webcast has been. It's better I leave rather than wanting to put a hurt on whoever is responsible for producing this garbage,

It's like they don't even know how a basketball game is played. It's beyond stupid.
-
Apparently, we are not allowed to view free throws tonight. Just a big Z banner. What the hell is that all about? It's about the most absurd thing I've ever seen
-
I am assuming that they will be suspended for next game right? Check out the vid. Just a brutal cheap shot by Baker. http://www.hustlebelt.com/mac-basketball/2016/1/16/10780832/niu-huskies-wmu-broncos-mens-basketball-final-recap-scrum-ejections

Not the brighter ones.....

Toledo is down, no doubt about it, If there was a time to go into Savage and steal a win then this is the time. Both teams need this one, probably them more than us, but this one is important. Like others here, I'd love to see some zone and here is why. Boothe has big time range from the floor. When he steps out, if we are in man defense, we have to honor his jump shot, This opens up the middle even more for penetrating guards..

Mark Montgomery happened. Solid guy and a solid coach from the Izzo basketball family tree up at Mich St. He took over a program that was arguably one of the worse D1 programs in the nation and over the last 4-5 years has slowly built a program from pretty much ashes. He's finally got rid of all the garbage that he inherited and now has all his own recruits out there. The results have been dramatic improvement. I look for them to keep on getting better as long as NIU can keep him which may not last much longer if he keeps winning.

I didn't expect to win this one so no biggie for me. CMU is no joke and they have very good guard play. Teams like that are going to be a tough out for us all the way through. Toledo looked like crap tonight so that is one that is well within our reach. They are struggling a bit and their guard play, IMO, is suspect.

Akron opened up at as a -3 road chalk with a little early CMU money taking it down to -2' currently. I would like to share Rowdy's optimistic outlook but I just can't. We are just not where we need to be and CMU will be well hyped for this one. If I were a betting man I would find the points attractive. Hope like Hell that I'm wrong but.... CMU 75 Good Guys 70

NIU wins pulling away late at home but the game was much closer than the score indicates. It was a one point game midway through the 2H. Still don't know about them taking the West but they defend pretty well. They have to be considered contenders but we'll see how they do without the home cooking. CMU comes back to form with the road win at CMU. This game was marred by the presence of Kelly Pfifer. The same happy whistle that worked our game Fri. He probably called close to 75% of the fouls in the contest. He scares me because he can easily alter the results of a close game. I don't think CMU defends well enough to win it all. Still a dangerous outfit though. Miami fought hard from 27 down to make things interesting vs. Toledo but they just don't have the horses. Toledo does not defend well at all. Didn't watch any of the Ball St / OU game but looks like BSU was in it for all 40 minutes, Ball St is gritty, an improved team. At this point the MAC is kind of like the old bizzaro world. Excluding ourselves, I think the top third of the teams from last year are down a notch while the bottom feeders of the conference , excluding Miami, have all pretty much raised the bar.

Bulls hang on to defeat the Flushes in Can't. That's never a bad thing. I have a lot of interest in the Eastern / NIU tilt today. Eastern was absolutely flawless in taking down CMU and NIU was very good as well against OU. I doubt if Eastern can play as well as they did and a home win for NIU stamps them as very legit Western Div. contenders.

Normally not one to get on the officials but these 3 were really, really bad tonight. They were as bad as we were on the boards.

Ced was one of my all time favs. Maybe the fastest guy the Zips have ever had. He wasn't the most talented guard we've seen at the jar but he made up for it with hustle and grit every second he was on the floor. I never met him but he sure seemed to be a good guy. Hope he's doing well.

The Zips are -11' for those who may be into that type of thing. Though blowouts aren't the norm for us I can see us covering that number. Akron 76 Mr. Slate's team 61

You are very correct but don't let Marygrove's 1-16 record fool you. The Mustangs are a sleeping giant.

2004-2008. It's OK.
