What ultimatum? Is this some disguised reference to a Jason Bourne movie?

MAC Men’s Basketball - Catch-all Thread
Zipmeister replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Basketball
Several years ago Huggins told me they would play in Akron for about a $275,000 guarantee. I am willing to kick in $20 to fund such a game. Now if 13,750 others would do the same (ignoring the possible effect of inflation on the guarantee) we've got a home game against the Mountaineers. -
Regarding your game with Akron: the good news is you will not have to attend to one personal hygiene item as your rear end will be freshly waxed. I predict a game flow similar to your game with UVA. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game?gameId=401168212

My guess: I'm not claiming this is the case here, but since early signing came into existence I have seen several cases where the academic status of a CC recruit is not known until shortly after the first early signing date and once the status becomes positive (not necessarily a guarantee he will qualify) the school giving the kid a chance lets him sign. -

Correct! Colorado is a P5 team and Gonzaga is a P5ish team (see explanation below). Nope. really good understates his importance to the team. I believe I was the first one on this board to point out that he was going to be an incredible addition for the Zips. -

Dayton was #10 in this seasons first NET rankings. They are loaded with talent. That doesn't make them a "P5" team. I am sorry the committee has reviewed your post and find quotation marks unacceptable for moving a non P5 team to P5 status. Acceptable presentations would include the following: P5* P5-like P5 lite P5 ish * = not really -

I'm hopeful that next season there will be numerous teams worser than the Zips. -

In that case if he is enrolled for the next term for at least the minimum amount of hours required to be a full time student he is good to go athletically. -

If exam week has passed and the student-athlete has passed at least the minimum number of hours to be considered full-time, the student athlete is good to go athletically. -

It was very nice of Ron to join the rest of the Horizon League coaches coaching barefoot in support of the Samaritan's Feet campaign. He's the only one that I know of that has the effort included in his Wikipedia page. Scott Nagy, the Wright State coach routinely takes his team on foot washing tours to places like Haiti (however, this is not on his Wikipedia page either).. -

I have followed Dayton and the A10 for quite a while and have never heard anybody refer to the A10 as a P5 conference. Is the A10 a (very) high mid major - yes, a consistent multiple bid conference - yep. Is the atmosphere at Dayton games P5 caliber - you bet, but several of the schools in the A10 play in facilities that resemble a small high school gym. Do you have a source for your P5 claim? I can't even get the A10 into the top six (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, PAC 12). -
It's just like watching a human fetus develop. The former single cell baseball team has just split into two cells; man am I excited about its development..

With the development of Viagra Frank presents a risk no P5 school appears willing to assume. -
I think your concern would be better justified by focusing on just about any other position. Akron has a tradition of ignoring the tight end as a passing option. With the Zips offensive scheme, just about any interior lineman could fill the position of tight end. I have previously suggested that we rename the position "Decoy" to no avail.

Rumor has it that the football stadium is going to be renamed Ept Stadium. That way the location of all home games on future schedules will be shown as Inept. -
Bob Dyer: University of Akron football is invisible

AHA! I think i have spotted the problem. The two benchmarks with the largest bonus included in Arth's contract are limiting blocked punts and yards allowed on kick-off returns. The guy is a coaching genius. -

Are you hinting that Akron may be starting an intercollegiate card team: because that worked out very profitably for the kids at MIT?
