  1. I attended the Columbus v Philadelphia match yesterday at Crew Stadium and was very happy to see Wil Trapp's image numerous places around the stadium. Good to see the Crew fully recognize how great a player they have in Wil and how well he represents them.
  2. Of course...to set up the excuses if/when the Zips lose. After that 46 point embarrassment in the NCAA Tourney last season and the collapse in this season's MAC Tourney semi-final, let's be sure the excuses are in place.
  3. Look at the RPI of the 20 teams the Zips defeated. I think Ohio, at 81, is the highest RPI-ranked team the Zips beat. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-rpi I wish we could see how successful KD would be if the MAC was better overall like in the days when the MAC was a 2 bid conference.
  4. Thanks ZIP and Yaznasty for those updates. I hadn't seen that our other draftees had been cut or that Blair had found a place in the NASL.
  5. I agree...it's a bit of a stretch. And, I've given it too much attention.
  6. What does this have to do with Zips in Pro Leagues?
  7. Looks like Ampai is continuing to enjoy life in Thailand. http://anthonyampaipitakwong.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/happy-2014/
  8. +1 Our guys need our positive encouragement.
  9. I recall a number of 2nd chances, but we just didn't have personnel in the right place to take advantage. I'm happy with the amount of possession, we're just not finishing. We will work through this. Someone has to step up. Also, when Bryan is out, someone needs to step up and be the leader whether or not that player is a captain.
  10. I don't believe you've seen any NCAA soccer matches with OT, then. NCAA is up to two 10-minute OT periods, first (golden) goal wins. FIFA is two 15-minute OT periods. Full 30 minutes is played. No OT during regular season.
  11. AWESOME Zips fan!
  12. @LZip That statement is incredibly unfair. How about showing some support instead of being so negative. I just got home from NY/NJ and am very proud of our team. I can't wait til Friday when we're finally at home. GO ZIPS!
  13. Great save by Chad Barson early vs Houston Dynamo tonight. Crew win 2-0.
  14. Coming Soon. Perhaps we'll see something later today or tomorrow as I would think the Mens Soccer team would be traveling to Charleston later today. If not, there's always @ZipsMSoc @ZipsCoachEmbick and @ZipsPaul on twitter
  15. This is a good listen. Some great Akron stuff 16 minutes or so into it. http://www.portlandtimbers.com/news/2013/0...ch-caleb-porter
  16. More Zips in the Pacific Northwest. Blair Gavin signs with the Sounders ahead of this Sunday's match vs Portland.
  17. At UNC but not on their 2013 Mens Soccer roster. https://twitter.com/AndyChiu93/status/367538475870224384
  18. MTSU’s Rhodes to compete immediately
  19. There have already been 2 games for which the start times have changed...San Diego State and BGSU (the date of which also moved). The official game days and start times are on GoZips.com as they have always been (GoZips.com, click schedules, then select Mens Soccer). It doesn't matter if anyone posts the dates and start times here...the official, up-to-date information is on the official site.
  20. Diego Navarrete, if I remember correctly. Chilean. Went to UAB.
  21. It appears that he did not play the entire season for AFC Cleveland. This blog entry was written July 12, 2013, as AFC Cleveland was entering the playoffs. Dark horse: A player to watch for is midfielder Keisuke Ohata from Tokyo, Japan. He recently joined the Royals from Kokugakuin Kugayama and has provided a spark for the Cleveland attack. He has great pace and excellent footwork, making him capable of breaking a big play at any moment. EDIT: Same blog, June 21, 2013 DCFC’s Fabio Pereira converted a PK in the 64 minute to put the visitors up 2-1, but that lead was short-lived as Bell scored in the 76th off an assist from Keisuke Ohata. It was the first appearance of the season for Ohata, who recently joined AFC Cleveland from a Japanese club. “I wasn’t expecting that many supporters,” Ohata said. “I am glad to be here. It’s an honor.”
  22. Thanks for the clarification. I haven't watched all of his video yet. I only made it to 1 AFC Cleveland game early in the season and don't remember him.
  23. I see Andrian McAdams ended up at blOSU, not Coastal Carolina as had been announced by CCU back in the Spring (that recruiting article has been deleted from their website), along with David Murrow who had transferred to Cincy last season and Kyle Culbertson who had gone to Columbia.
  24. What? All I meant is that today is the first that I had heard of Keisuke Ohata, and that he is indeed on the roster. When I noticed the uniform number changes on the roster (eg., Aodhan is #10 this season) a few days ago, Ohata was not listed.
  25. Nice find. He's on the Zips roster.
