Some of you guys on here would argue with someone calling the sky blue and say it's really baby blue.
Whatever - their AD wanted it to happen, KD wanted it to happen, the last person in the process squashed it. Call it what you want.
Agreed. The JAR sucks for the casual followers. It's great for the basketball die-hards. You're near the court, have good sight lines outside of the first few rows up top. And it gets loud as heck when there's a nice crowd.
I mean think about it:
Illinois State
Valpo
Monmouth
Belmont
Northern Iowa
MTSU
UT Arlington
Oakland
UNCW
Charleston
FGCU
You can't tell me we couldn't line up a home and home or two from that list
To play devil's advocate, the thinking of not rewarding the top 2 seeds too is that the hottest team gets in the tournament, not necessarily the best. Sometimes the hotter team has the better chance of an upset. See OU's run
Agreed! I posted somewhere on here KD should have been on the phone with them the minute that was posted. There are a lot of upper level mid majors that are in the same position who could use the games.
Houston is a good team. 12-6 in the AAC is nothing to scoff at. It's nice to see we could compete in a conference like that. So while I don't think that was a great example, I do agree that the smaller schools do generally get the shaft. Maybe Bakersfield will win and we'll get a home game with a trip to MSG on the line?
This is a good point. Besides the fact that it was nice for our H-Town players to get a win in their hometown, what a better way to help recruiting than to beat the hometown team in their backyard?
