  1. cool story bro
  2. Some folks forget our school is a school. Sacrifice a couple possible divots for the chance to have tens of thousands of people seeing our campus for the first time. Seems like a no brainer.
  3. This is the smartest thing I've seen you post. The exposure Browns camp would bring would greatly outweigh a torn up field. Not only for athletics, but that's tens of thousands of people walking around our campus, seeing it, spending their money.. It would be borderline insane to say no to preserve a field. They'll probably re-sod it anyway and it'll be as good as new.
  4. I suppose that would have made more sense if I phrased it as "I watch them for entertainment"
  5. Good point. I enjoy that kind of style, I suppose. I enjoyed watching the steelers growing up, and my high school basketball team used to win districts scoring under 20 points. I mentioned MTSU because they're on the schedule, there has to be more mid majors like them we can schedule.
  6. I'll get flamed for saying this but I watch the Zips because it's entertaining. Driving an hour to watch us humiliate these cupcakes isn't entertaining. Call me selfish, but it doesn't make it more entertaining when I'm sitting there telling myself "at least we beat Pine Bluff and Coppin State so we can keep our twenty win streak alive." I realize getting quality teams at the JAR is tough. I'd rather watch us on the road at OSU than at home against Coppin State. I'm positive there are mid majors in our boat, such as MTSU, that would love to have a home and home.
  7. I'd rather get some quality mid majors at the JAR. You can't tell there aren't more teams in our boat that would sign up for a home and home.
  8. I'm 100% with Dr. Z. I'm also a little biased personally, as I don't want to drive an hour + to use my tickets to see us blow Coppin St. out of the water.
  9. The Beer Market next to PNC is a fun place as well. BYO-Food Sienna Mercato downtown is a new, awesome place. Next to Dr. Z's recommendation of Tenpenny.
  10. Not to pick on you, but that is pre-game of a Steeler game. The Steeler jerseys give it away I have Pitt season tix, I live closer to Pittsburgh, I won't discount the attendance problem. 4 coaches in 6 years and a bunch of 7 win seasons will do that. Now that the Pirates are good again, there's a lot of competition for ticket money. How do you feel about the rivalry being renewed anyway? No empty seats at that one!
  11. No offense to your team, but they haven't really had too many successful NFL'ers of late to draft
  12. Seriously though, knowing this is like knowing the home team bats last in baseball. It takes a special kind of stupid for a D-1 CAPTAIN or his coaching staff, whoever, to elect to "kick." Hence why you've seen a team do it once in the thousands of games played per year.
  13. Home OOC - Rochester, UMBC, Bryant, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Western Illinois, MTSU, Bluffton, Marshall, Coppin State. Blah
  14. I think any player that's played for more than 4 years would, well, should know that. I was a coaches son, but I still remember learning that when I was 9.
  15. So we're due for another incident in 2058
  16. I sure would. You're only here once, see everything and enjoy it. It's not "the dream" but it's pretty darn cool.
  17. Loser of the coin toss gets their choice at the half, unless the winner defers. So say you're playing Madden and choose kick, the other team receives at half. That's not true in real life. If you choose to kick, and not defer, the other team still gets their choice at the half. So our dingus head coach told the captains to kick, and low and behold we kicked both stinkin halves.
  18. Promotions are sponsored so that doesn't hold much water. Somebody could have been contacting businesses to sponsor a bobblehead or something, doesn't take much creative genius there.
  19. Nice work. Good to see a nice student turnout.
  20. We've won 7 games in the last 3 years. We played Howard. Rack up some wins, there'll be nice crowds. NEO loves football, they'll come. Comparing to MBB is apples to oranges. They win in a dump, we lose in a palace. If the FB team starts winning MAC championships, then we can compare attendance.
  21. Somewhat. Was probably a bit of Terry going vanilla when we got ahead.
  22. This is awesome
  23. I've been curious what the official plan was for Conner. He played DE as injuries forced it in the bowl, but I assumed they'd keep him away from that this year. They have a pretty decent stable of backs, so maybe it'll work out. Definitely not something you see much anymore.
  24. Guy on the bottom middle looks like Carlos Gomez
  25. Let me state again, this was not a criticism of UA, just a general comment on golf outings. The string and mulligan make outings not so fun. I'm sure there are other ways to get 20 bucks off of folks at outings (drinks/raffles/skins/skill prizes).
