  1. If you get there early enough, the red lot beside the Clark Bar is usually a good time for tailgating. I have a pass for Gold 1, I believe it's all pre-sold though. Huge lot where Three Rivers was.. Great tailgate spot if you can get your hands on a Gold pass.
  2. Without looking, I'd guess the teams that had 100 yards rushers won more often than the 300 yard passers.
  3. Sounds like Dejaun Blair
  4. It's easier to draw when the alternative is hunting and it isn't hunting season.
  5. I'm terrified of what James Connor is going to do to us this week.
  6. did someone say "butt hurt?"
  7. That is awesome. However, not sure who we'd really want to call out like that at this point in time.
  8. Not going but really wish I was after reading that. Always wanted to see Charleston but I'm buying a house this fall so it's not in the cards. Great work, hope some people take advantage of that. Speaking from experience it's a great thing to know someone local and avoiding the touristy places.
  9. It wouldn't have as I am a Steeler fan, and you couldn't pay me to watch a Browns' practice. Hypothetically speaking, I could have been a 17 year old Browns fan with no intentions of even applying to UA, and seeing campus would definitely have persuaded me to apply at the very least. I literally had 0 intention of going to Akron until I saw campus. I'm positive I'm not the only one.
  10. Akron was last on my list until I came to campus for the Honors interview.
  11. I would think an undefeated season would result in a "BCS" bowl (what are those even called now?) but not an entry in the playoff. It would take a couple Boise/NIU-like seasons to get into the playoffs.
  12. Ask NIU if going undefeated meant nothing 2 years ago.
  13. cool story bro
  14. Some folks forget our school is a school. Sacrifice a couple possible divots for the chance to have tens of thousands of people seeing our campus for the first time. Seems like a no brainer.
  15. This is the smartest thing I've seen you post. The exposure Browns camp would bring would greatly outweigh a torn up field. Not only for athletics, but that's tens of thousands of people walking around our campus, seeing it, spending their money.. It would be borderline insane to say no to preserve a field. They'll probably re-sod it anyway and it'll be as good as new.
  16. I suppose that would have made more sense if I phrased it as "I watch them for entertainment"
  17. Good point. I enjoy that kind of style, I suppose. I enjoyed watching the steelers growing up, and my high school basketball team used to win districts scoring under 20 points. I mentioned MTSU because they're on the schedule, there has to be more mid majors like them we can schedule.
  18. I'll get flamed for saying this but I watch the Zips because it's entertaining. Driving an hour to watch us humiliate these cupcakes isn't entertaining. Call me selfish, but it doesn't make it more entertaining when I'm sitting there telling myself "at least we beat Pine Bluff and Coppin State so we can keep our twenty win streak alive." I realize getting quality teams at the JAR is tough. I'd rather watch us on the road at OSU than at home against Coppin State. I'm positive there are mid majors in our boat, such as MTSU, that would love to have a home and home.
  19. I'd rather get some quality mid majors at the JAR. You can't tell there aren't more teams in our boat that would sign up for a home and home.
  20. I'm 100% with Dr. Z. I'm also a little biased personally, as I don't want to drive an hour + to use my tickets to see us blow Coppin St. out of the water.
  21. The Beer Market next to PNC is a fun place as well. BYO-Food Sienna Mercato downtown is a new, awesome place. Next to Dr. Z's recommendation of Tenpenny.
  22. Not to pick on you, but that is pre-game of a Steeler game. The Steeler jerseys give it away I have Pitt season tix, I live closer to Pittsburgh, I won't discount the attendance problem. 4 coaches in 6 years and a bunch of 7 win seasons will do that. Now that the Pirates are good again, there's a lot of competition for ticket money. How do you feel about the rivalry being renewed anyway? No empty seats at that one!
  23. No offense to your team, but they haven't really had too many successful NFL'ers of late to draft
  24. Seriously though, knowing this is like knowing the home team bats last in baseball. It takes a special kind of stupid for a D-1 CAPTAIN or his coaching staff, whoever, to elect to "kick." Hence why you've seen a team do it once in the thousands of games played per year.
