I think it is a combo of Texas being that good and NT being just that bad. They might have let NT get that touchdown on purpose just to make it look like NT can play.

I hope they cut to the Zips game. Grambling/Hampton is D-1AA so you would think We take priority, because we have the bigger audience. If not, then... Freakin ESPN!

I am saying that the good MAC teams like Toledo and CMU are better this year. Buffalo, Temple, and Can't suck, but they always have. Miami is interesting. They have 5 starters back on offense and only 2 on defense. Their frosh QB plays like he is in high school, but he is new to D-I football. The only reason the score wasn't significantly more in favor of Northwestern is that NU has had such a terrible (R.I.P. Coach Walker) off-season that it took them until the second half of the game to snap out of it. Miami might be better by the time we play them, but we should be able to beat them pretty easily. CMU worries me. We need to win at NC State if we want to be ready for them.

Can't got to the one yard line twice during the game. The fact that they couldn't score either time can be attributed to the fact that This sounds almost like last year, when they were supposed to have a relatively good season, but couldn't get there when they needed to.

Umm... Miami did not have a good showing against Northwestern. 21-3 is pretty darn bad. They were lucky that the Northwestern QB couldn't throw. I know it was scoreless at half, but given the circumstances surrounding the game, I think they didn't play as well as they thought they would. Only 3 points against the defense that was the worst in the nation last year is pretty bad, especially if that desense has the same guys who were so bad last year. CMU looked like the best MAC team playing last night, until the end, and Toledo should've won. Can't sucks People thought they had a decent chance to knock off Minnesota, but they were on the Phil Steele bandwagon.

Frye has IMO the worst Offensive coordinator in all of football, not to mention a line that can't stop a pee-wee team. Getsy would look just as bad in Frye's spot right now. It's not a fair question at all.

Akron's team this year is possibly the most talented in school history. This is not the team Penn State fans remember. We have both Ofensive and Defensive lines returning intact, and we have a QB who will most likely be ranked a top ten quarterback by the end of the year. Our linebacker squad is going to be a terror for every opponent we face (including PSU). We have a more talented, if unproven, running back than last year and our receiving squad will be good with the help of our QB. I look foward to the game Saturday. Both teams should find out just how they good they are for the season.

Oh man, you're asking for trouble! Honestly, I think it will be closer than expected throughout the entire game with PSU scoring a late touchdown to make it look better than it was.

The Can't State fans I know don't even expect a winning season. I know thet they have improved over last year, but come on. No one goes from 1-10 to conference champion in just one season.

We have a "north quad" according to housing maps. It is basically Spicer street.

It actually should work both ways. We have seen in last year's Can't State game that the weather doesn't affect Getsy much. No one knows if it will hurt Morelli's game. Penn State has good recievers to help them, while Akron has very little experience in thet department. It is a toss-up to know which team the weather will hurt or help more. The game might just come down to which team has the stickiest hands.

I think the Offensive coordinator has changed his ways in the off-season. He actually called for some plays using a kind of spread offense, and he never would have done that last season.

I wondered why there wasn't a parking space to found within 3 miles of campus this week. I usually park in the deck on Spicer, but it was full by 9:00 today! We need to seriously consider expanding campus, like mabye using the Central Hower property to build a new gigantic dorm.
