  1. Great article. Lays to rest some of the doubts people have that he's just collecting a paycheck as a figurehead that does the occasional speaking engagement.
  2. While I agree on App State, I wouldn't discount Georgia Southern or Charlotte so easily. GSU just strikes me as the kind of program that will be successful. They do not tolerate mediocrity. It's too early to tell with Charlotte, but they have good geography and an athletic department that does a lot of things right.
  3. Almost certainly.
  4. A lot of universities are moving up. Georgia Southern, who beat Florida on Saturday without completing a pass, will join them in the Sun Belt in 2015. Charlotte and Old Dominion will also move to Conference USA that year. The mid-atlantic is getting crowded. Just this year Texas-San Antonio, Texas State, South Alabama, and Georgia State moved up.
  5. Maybe looking to strengthen recruiting connections in the Carolinas?
  6. MAC tournament did us no favors.
  7. Yeah, according some people with poor talent evaluation skills.
  8. They'll likely outnumber the Marquette fans.
  9. Last I heard, the Rowdies managed to get enough students on board to be able to take a bus trip. It's difficult to get much interest when the return time is around 4:30 AM Monday morning.
  10. I'm leaning more towards three.
  11. They don't look all that impressive to me. The real challenge for the Zips will be the weather. Temperatures will be around 25 degrees.
  12. He is not, nor was he ever.
  13. So what's your scouting report so far?
  14. My best guess is Tree is having a sort of identity crisis.
  15. Maybe he just needs a mental break. With the schedule, now's a good time to take one.

  17. We don't have a real game until Dec 6th. Plenty of time to get things sorted.
  18. Hook and lateral, because it is fun.
  19. Shows how much I've tried to block out the last three years.
  20. I'm not sure about that. Last year, Pohl gained more in-game experience with the offense than Williams had in four years before coming to Akron. Williams had never taken a snap. Pohl played for just over four quarters. Maybe it's a confidence issue. Dalton lived up to his nickname of the Lone Ranger, coming in guns blazing and making throws and not letting the risk of an INT stop him. What looks like Pohl making decisions too quickly by not considering all his options may actually be a symptom of not believing that he can make those throws and instead settling for his first receiver. Whatever it is, he has another week off to work things out. In January, Chandler Kincade will enroll and Tommy Woodson's redshirt year will be over. Not to mention that Nick Hirschman will hopefully be healed by spring practice. It will be an interesting QB battle.
  21. I think part of it is that the offense looked so much better under Dalton Williams. Dalton made his decisions quicker than Pohl. I think that will sort itself out by ext season, though. Another part is that Pohl looked better last year in limited duty. He didn't progress as fast as fans had hoped.
  22. http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_new...i-home-invasion Terrible news. Not sure why he left UA. He looked promising in the MAC championships.
  23. Toledo has already become bowl eligible, and a MAC title won't be an issue after NIU demolishes you.
  24. The Swensons Food Truck will be on campus at noon.
