Umass was a typical "trap" game. Akron had two weeks off, after winning the Wagon Wheel. Too much time for revelry and not enough focus on the next game. Hopefully they learned their lesson, with another bye week before Toledo.

And with this win, Akron is now officially undefeated against every team on the schedule with a losing record or from the FCS. We beat every team we were supposed to beat, for the first season in a very long time.

Considering the extremely high number of cards shown at our match in Kalamazoo, I expect a fight or two to break out.

Most conferences do have a rotation set up. The MAC does not, thanks to uneven divisions, and schedules teams however they feel like it. That has been to the detriment to Akron and to the great benefit of teams like Ohio (avoided playing NIU and Toledo for the 4th straight year) and NIU.

First, you don't know who 3/4th of out class will be because we haven't landed them yet. You want them to predict the future and tell us who will commit? Second, we're going after just about every D-I prospect you can name. The offers are out there. Absolutely nobody from Ohio wants to play for Akron.

TTU was picked to win the OVC this season, and Akron is flat-out embarrassing them.

Ball movement only works when the players move, too. Standing around, waiting for the guy with the ball to make a play won't work against a good team.

You know it's bad when he's our only outside threat. Where did Kretzer and McAdams disappear to? They have been non-factors.

The offense wasn't all that great in the MAC championship game. The defense, with Harney guarding Cooper, was outstanding. This year, we have Q back to shut down the opposing star player.

Less than half way to a complete signing class, and no new commitments since August. The early JUCO signing period is from December 18th to January 15th. National Signing Day is February 5th.

They're just a means to play better opponents in the later rounds of the tournament. I never thought Oregon State would be that great of an opponent.

More like they fired him for his 11-46 record at EMU, and are using the language thing as an excuse to fire him "with cause" and avoid paying a buyout.

Melo spent a lot of time in the second half in the locker room or with the trainer. Don't assume that having Evans out there was part of some scheme or statement being made by Dambrot.

Another game, another 2-1 victory in the 2nd OT. Really glad WMU isn't hosting the tournament. @WMUmenssoccer didn't tweet once during the match, they didn't stream the biggest game of their season, and their stat tracker was terrible. Bush league operation.

Now Eric Stevenson picks up a Yellow Card. This game is getting chippy, but I think Akron's up for it. They showed a lot of fight against Penn State, and it served as kind of a wake-up call.
