  1. I’m interested to see the Cleveland recruits that have been emphasized so much in the last few weeks. Right or wrong, I might be disappointed to see Tennessee area recruits. ?‍♂️
  2. WKYC's Jim Donovan reported (Wednesday evening) that Tom Lombardo (St Eds) was considering an offer to be coach Arth’s OC. Jim repeated Akron's new mantra about the commitment to recruit neo.
  3. The work has started.
  4. @ZipsMBB team on the rise. Maybe the MAC is as well?
  5. NFL Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Walter Brady, LB, University of Akron I think I would have had a followup question to his "who is the most overrated player in the NFL" answer!?!?
  6. I have done no research, but I'll guess teams that play the 3-4 might be the teams employing inside and outside linebacker coaches. How many of these teams are there now-a-days?
  7. Great news! I’m happy to share images with ZipsNation when given the opportunity! I think this summer fans will be hungry for info. I’ll be there! PS Being out of the country and state working for the last month makes me realize how valuable this site is to fans that aren’t able to attend or watch games. Thank you ZipsNation members! Great job on the interview CK, looking forward to meeting coach Arth when I return. ??? Go Zips!!!
  8. Yes, he has been on the sidelines at games with Larry, and he did halftime tv (this year I think). “I’ve watched Tom Arth grow from the good little quarterback out of St. Raphael’s at the youth camps in Cleveland that I would help at, to the successful quarterback at St. Ignatius, John Carroll and Colts, to the fantastic coach he is today. He was a smart kid who learned from the great coaches here in Cleveland. With that background and the facilities he has to work with at the University of Akron, I know he will elevate that football program to championship levels of success. We expect, and we will win, on and off the field.” Bernie Kosar Retired Quarterback Cleveland Browns
  9. The video is up now.
  10. Odd. Can you give some more info? Connected to WIFI? What operating system? What browser? Have you tried hard reboot when the issue occurs? What happens then?...The more info the better?
  11. I'll assume the video eventually makes it to the youtube channel.
  12. Wouldn't that be great. I think coach Bowden/Amato/Stroud/others leave the team in decent shape, so it's a possibility. I'm sure some will fail to recall this eventually, but not me. The next coach will step into a potential winner day one. That was not possible six years ago. I hope the next coach is good at recruiting top MAC talent. If someone can tell me who that is, I'll throw my support behind that candidate. Otherwise, I can't pretend to know if any name mentioned in this thread would succeed. I don't know much about hiring an FBS head coach, but I would certainly give coach Stroud an interview, if he wanted it. Whomever the new coaches are, I'm intrigued to watch a new offense next season.
  13. "Omaha Omaha Omaha, 50's the mike, kill kill kill...."
  14. Sorry, working out of the country and just got back to my hotel room. Please forgive me this week, I just didn’t have the time. I’ll try to set something up tomorrow. Edit: Sorry guys, I’m cashed today. Go Zips!!!!
  15. No winners this week.
  16. East Division Clinching Scenarios: Buffalo—Buffalo win at BGSU (11/23) or Ohio loss vs. Akron (11/23) Ohio—Ohio win vs. Akron (11/23) and Buffalo loss at BGSU (11/23) and Miami loss vs. Ball State (11/20) Miami—Miami win vs. Ball State (11/20) and Ohio win vs. Akron (11/23) and Buffalo loss at BGSU (11/23) This would create a three-way tie with Buffalo, Miami and Ohio all at 6-2. All are 1-1 in head-to-head among the three teams (Buffalo beat Miami/lost to Ohio; Miami beat Ohio/lost to Buffalo; Ohio beat Buffalo/lost to Miami); All three beat Akron; All three beat Kent State; With BGSU, Buffalo would have lost to BGSU and both Miami and Ohio beat BGSU; the tiebreaker comes to Ohio and Miami – as Miami defeated Ohio on Nov. 7, 30-28. West Division: Northern Illinois (6-1) clinched
  17. Maybe the same impact as when Hurley left. ?
  18. Fearless Forecast: Since I am unable to attend the game, the Zips play their best game of the year.
  19. Discuss your answers to the questions below. Feel free to Include your Fearless Forecast for the game in this thread. A Fearless Forecast is a bold prediction about the game that isn't included in the weekly poll.
  20. BG defense is 9th in the nation in passing yards (171) per game. They are 129 out of 130 in rushing defense giving up 296 yards a game.
