  1. If Trent Green is worth a fourth rounder right now, what is Charlie?
  2. I wonder what kind of contract superman could sign if the Browns cut him.I realize that's not happening, but I wonder what kind of contract he would get.I wonder which teams called?
  3. Visits to NFL teams make Zips guard Alleman eager for upcoming draft By Terry Pluto (click here)
  4. Keep in mind, every team in the NFL would like to trade down and pick up extra draft picks.
  5. According to the draft value board that move would cost the Vikings their 2nd round pick and a 3rd round pick to move from 7 to 3.I don't see that happening. He might be there at 7 anyway. The picks between the Vikings and Browns probably are not picking a QB and the Vikings know that. This would also require Childress admitting that he was wrong on Tarvaris Jackson, who they gave up a lot to acquire a year ago.Who knows though, the Vikings might just let the clock run out and not pick.
  6. Good point. I remember the Bears and Saints. I can't remember the names though.
  7. Because we NEVER had a D. There are three parts to the game, and defense is the most important. They even have a saying about it.I was so excited to hear JD when he took over say "we are going to run a D like no team in the MAC has ever seen"I'm giving this D one more year to produce before I start to question it. I'm not impressed thus far by this scheme.Sticking to the topic, I AM somewhat surprised to see so many LO guys contributing, but what is the alternative? The other reason maybe that JD wants to red shirt young guys to get as many of his guys used to the system? But then you take Harvey, and that's out the window.
  8. maybe thats something the marching band can pick up ---------------------------PHILIP MORRIS ---------------------------If he actually touches a ball as a Zip in a game, I'm making shirts.
  9. the most interesting thing I recently found on Razor's site was this tidbit.Razor was speaking to Mack Here is a clue, you might want to put up a billboard this year Mack. Keep up the good work Mike
  10. Thanks D-man. I'm probably the only guy on this board that listens to that show. They interview about 5 people a day. I love listening to the players. There are two other shows on the NFL channel that are even better.PS Andy comes off very well (comparing to other interviews I have heard this year on sirius)John Higgins was my favorite interview this year. He is going to the pro bowl this year (according to him).
  11. How many times can you spin that record Bucknut? :unsure:I predict our OL is better this year.
  12. Good update. Thanks. I feel like I was there. 2007 NBA Draft Prospects List by school...notice anything?
  13. Gotta go with Playboy on this one, as they voted 'The Sun' the best college bar in Akron.PS Townhouse and Splash were it in the day. Hopefully the new stadium will bring more good bars to the area because it kind of stinks right now.
  14. I don't exactly know how radio works, I know how readership in magazines work.If it is like magazines, you end up paying for that kind of research, or if your companyadvertises with them, they will give you some BS numbers that will make you continue to advertise with them.If you were REALLY serious about it, I would start here (arbitron)
  15. I don't think Frye will send Weis a xmas card this year.Quinn, Browns a perfect marriageNotre Dame coach Charlie Weis wants the Browns to have Brady Quinn, and Brady Quinn to have the Browns. Why? Because he wants his good friends Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage to succeed - and his star quarterback to fulfill his dream of leading his favorite team to a championship."It's a match made in heaven," Weis said Thursday by phone. "What more can you ask for? It seems to me to make too much sense. Hopefully, common sense will prevail and they'll draft him."Weis stressed that the most important thing about Quinn, a native of Dublin, Ohio, is that he grew up a diehard fan with a lifelong dream to play for the Browns."You can't pick a guy just because he's always rooted for your team, but Brady has everything it takes to be a franchise quarterback for a long time - and he loves the Browns," said Weis. "He's as passionate about the team as the fans are - and I've experienced the Dawg Pound, so I know."Weis has known Crennel since they won their first Super Bowl together with the Giants in 1990 and they won three more together in New England. He's known Savage since Savage was a newcomer on Bill Belichick's Browns staff in 1991."I'm pulling for Romeo and Phil and I want to see them succeed," said Weis. "When you're close to people, you openly root for them. You can never have enough guys like Brady Quinn. He has that special something -- that it' factor that people talk about. It permeates positive energy throughout your entire organization."Weis admitted he's been pushing Quinn to Crennel since 2005. Source and the rest of the story
  16. Scout's April 10th prediction where and when Andy will go
  17. Quoted from Razor's blog. Stay on 'em Mike.
  18. I wonder what the budget difference is between the two events. Although it doesn't cost a cent to have a fan call a play.I would run the play where Jabari takes the end around, stops, throws back to Hakes on the other side of the field, then Hakes throws the 45 yard TD pass to Lindsay. One of my favorite plays I have seen. Should work good with this group.I also like the one where Jabari and Lindsay line up on the left, Jabari takes the end around,Lindsay runs all the way across the field and Jabari hits him in stride in the right corner of the end zone. okay, dream over, back to reality...
  19. I guess I'll answer my own question. Best I could do.7/28/2005: Signed a four-year, $5 million contract. The deal included an $800,000 signing bonus. Frye received $3 million in incentives for becoming a starter. 2007: $435,000, 2008: $460,000, 2009: Free Agentsource
  20. Ripping on Razor? Pretty low.Ripping on Zippy? Odd to say the least.Linking to youtube as a source? 2nd rate.Amount of info learned from reading this article? Zero. I wouldn't put much credence in this dribble.
  21. Does anybody remember how Superman's contract is worded? If he "starts" this year, I think he gets 1.4 million for the year???GP1, if someone gets "cut" anybody can pick up that player without giving up anything. You are thinking of restricted FA's when you give up picks. The pick depends on the tendered offer to that player.PS Anybody that compares Couch to Frye
  22. It is very simple, if you want to write about the Zips this is the place to do it.If you would like to write about any other school, please go to their site and do it.I never heard of a site where you root for two schools, but maybe you are on to something.Try it out. Start a site. It might be the next big thing.
  23. When there is something to report, you will hear it here. Stay tuned. You won't have to ask.
