Yep, this is basically what coach said at the beginning of the year. Paraphrasing "we are going to have to rely on our running game early in the year until we find out who is going to fill the holes left by Natson and Lane in the passing game" I don't think we have seen our best passing game of the year yet.

Tyler Heintz died from exertianal heat stroke. An Ohio coroner has ruled that exertional heat stroke caused the death of a Kent State University football player after an offseason morning workout. The Portage County Coroner Office's released the findings of an autopsy of Tyler Heintz on Monday. Heintz died June 13 after being hospitalized following conditioning drills at Dix Stadium.

I was hoping that fan(s) of the 10 personnel would have some good analysis of what they saw from the Zips offense since they played so much of it during this game. I don't have numbers, but I would guess we were in 10 personnel seventy percent of the time. Interesting comment by Jacob. I was unaware that the rule changed. Starting this season, it’s also a foul if he grabs the runner around the nameplate and hauls him down that way. That’s what the rule means by including “the area.” Updated rule.

UNI's leading rusher had only 12 attempts (7.3 yds per carry) against the Cyclones in their first game. I would guess because UNI was down double digits early and passed (38 attempts). Iowa's leading rusher had 28 carries (4.2 yds per carry) against the Cyclones in their second game. He had one carry in OT. Iowa rushed for 164 yards in the game, and only averaged 4 yards a carry, so the Cyclones run defense seems to be somewhat sufficient, by only looking at stats. Maybe @Cykron can comment on the run D. I'm hoping to see Warren get 27+ carries, and Sands and Van add in another dozen or so.
