Good example of Bowden trying to get NFL talent to Akron. For those that forget the situation. From wiki On April 16, 2015, Hill announced via Twitter that he was planning on attending Akron. On September 1, 2015, the University of West Alabama announced that Tyreek Hill enrolled and would play football for the Tigers during the 2015 season.] West Alabama head coach Brett Gilliland has stated that he initially turned down Hill's, saying that after he read the police report detailing how he choked and hit his girlfriend. After getting to know Hill personally, he spoke to people at Oklahoma State, Hill's former coaches at Garden City, and a high school mentor. He was also swayed by a part of the plea deal that required Hill to either attend school full-time or be employed. Hill was projected to go undrafted during the 2016 NFL Draft, mainly due to his domestic violence arrest. Although he was not invited to the NFL combine, he was able to showcase his abilities at West Alabama's Pro Day. Scouts were mainly impressed with his speed and he received much praise for his workout. Regardless of his workout, many teams had completely removed Hill from their draft boards, but his head coach from West Alabama maintained that at least 20 teams were still interested in him.

GoZips dot com updated the info. Basketball: Akron-IMG Sports Network - Bill Morgan (PxP) and Scott Nixon (Analyst) WHLO 640 AM, WHLO iHeartRadio channel Football: ESPNU will televise the game with Eamon McAnaney (play-by-play) and Rocky Boiman (analyst) calling the game. The Zips' radio broadcast will air on the Akron-IMG Sports Network [SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF) in Akron (flagship), 1420 WHK in Cleveland, 1440 WHKZ in Warren/Youngstown] with Steve French calling the action, Brad Detwiler providing analysis, and Joe Dunn with the sideline report. The pregame show starts 30 minutes prior to kickoff. A free audio stream is available at SportsRadio1350.com, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn.com/Akron Zips. For what it's worth donbest site lists both Woodson and Chapman as "?", updated Sunday. Edit: Who knows, @ZipsMBB has 1350 with the game. I'm assuming since this was 2 hours ago, it's incorrect.

So Steve and Joe will be at the basketball game tonight, and on iHeart radio? Who will be at the football game, and where is it broadcast on the radio?
-
I'm assuming that's why no spread is available. Oddshark's formula predicts OU to win 36-18. If Woodson plays, I hope they don't call any QB draw plays. From the linked article..."24 players have missed extended time...throughout the season". Wow.

Man those are some harsh comments by James W Snyder. "It did not go well, if you like sporting events" "This was a crapper of a game, where Akron played terrible, and dominated a weak opponent. There is nothing to be gained from this game as a viewer" "The stat line showed just how awful this game was"

Was this you? “WE WANT THE BROWNS” —A sign in the crowd in Kalamazoo, Mich., before the Buffalo-Western Michigan football game Saturday, on ESPN’s “College Game Day” show. Western Michigan is 11-0. The Browns are 0-11. For what that’s worth. Peter King

Feel free to discuss your answers below. Members that answer all three correctly will be recognized Wednesday, or Thursday, possibly Friday, but for sure by Saturday.

If I were confident in my abilities, I wouldn't flinch. "Rourke started every game for the Greyhounds, leading them to a 4-7 record while going 221 of 378 for 2,367 yards with 18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions"

All got to experience a 35-13 loss by the Zips this year, who have 57. Hopefully those 57 get some valuable extra practice time.

Whomever the QB is, I want to see some timely blitzing, and/or a creative (different) pass rush at Athens. We must create turnovers to compete. And yes, I realize they need to put the Bobcats offense in predictable passing situations for this to happen. That has been the challenge, do it. Getting the young guys more practice time is paramount to next season's goal.

"This will be only the second time GameDay has visited a MAC school, the first in 2003 at Bowling Green. Unranked BG defeated No. 12 Northern Illinois, 34-18, in that game. The common thread between that game and this one is WMU head coach P.J. Fleck caught a touchdown in that game as a wide receiver for NIU."--PD story by EA

Directly related to O'Leary not missing a field goal attempt this year. Kyle is versatile too.

The team should have a Summa Health Care chiropractor, acupuncturist, and hyperbaric chamber available to him at all times. His health is directly related to the success of this team.

No winners this week. Literally.

Zips are an eight and a half point favorite. Weather is calling for early morning showers, clearing in the afternoon, high of 49. Probably around 40 near kickoff.
