I'm not sure if you guys are debating recruits or current players, but I did see the below in the Detroit Free Press last week. So far, some 10 players who had verbally committed to WMU have switched their commitment to Minnesota. This is a sizable number, and represented nearly half of WMU’s recruiting class before Fleck changed jobs.

I like EMU +2.5 at the half, and the Zips -4.5 final.

What a great interview. Good questions, and good answers by DeAndre. Only question I would like to know the answer to is, would you have liked to shadow Corey Davis this year, and has your scheme ever included shadowing (I think no, but would like to hear his comments)? Corey lined up all over, as opposed to Boyd (strictly at the Z) as DeAndre refers to. My favorite answer (of many): DeAndre Scott: My time at Akron was one to remember. Coming in, in 2012 as a mid-year freshman not knowing who my coach was gonna be at the time and not having a clue what I was in for. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Graduated and earned my degree as well as helped build a program that wasn’t used to seeing success and being apart of a bunch of devoted guys/coaches to change the culture around the university and program it made me cherish Akron even more. It helped me grow into the person/player I am now. Definitely an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Steeler DE, LT Walton (CMU) played 23 snaps, and LB Frank Zombo, also from CMU, had a tackle, and big tipped pass for the Chiefs. I don't remember Le'Veon Bell with the Zips, he had their new logo on the side of his head yesterday. Maybe just a fan. Did March play? I don't remember seeing him. The most pivotal/controversial play in last night's Divisional Championship game involved two players from the MAC. I'm not going to post the Facebook link here because of the language, but if you like, you can look up a video by another MAC player (AB). He takes you inside last nights locker room for seventeen minutes, and tells all the other schools they made a mistake by not recruiting him. I like when players from the MAC take that attitude into the NFL. Other MAC players in the video too. ESPN staff writer focuses on other things from the video. Lots of MACtion in that game.

Nice job guys (zippy5 ziptrumpet87). I'm glad Miami did a decent job on BD (and they still won). Now the staff has something worth while to practice (and game plan) before the games start to mean more.

You wouldn't want to know what I would give to win the MAC, be ranked, and play in the Cotton Bowl. Coaches come and go. The next football coach to leave Akron for a better job, will be the first.

Hopefully the Patriot players feel the same when they hear their coach speak today.

I noticed LTT seemed to be the most vocal among the starters coming on and off the field last season. From a distance one could call that a "leader", I'm not sure if that's true or not. I know from following him on Twitter, he has overcome a lot to achieve his graduation. Good luck to him. Hopefully this creates an opportunity for some cream to rise to the top. I hope as a group, the offensive line becomes a strength next year, and WB gets a medical exception, and stays healthy. TBD.

Entertaining game. I have never been to a CMU basketball game, but it seems they need to upgrade their lighting the way Akron did. I'm loving watching the games on ESPN3. Replay found here, incase somebody missed or wants to rewatch.
