A few notes from last night. Thanks to Zach for suggesting Betternet so I was able to avoid the "Blackout", and watch the game. Took minutes to download, and minutes to install. We have got to have better snaps. Multiple, multiple low snaps effected the timing of so many pass plays. If I played the Zips I would never pass the ball. It's maddening watching the ease of opponents getting 6 yards on first down. We had so many unsuccessful inside runs Woodson started throwing his arms up in the air to the sideline. Speaking of Woodson, for the members that didn't get to view the game, the camera showed Woodson stretching out his shoulder multiple times. Doing "windmills." Alvin Davis leads the team in tackles again. The receivers have been so good this year, I hate to write this, but how many TD passes did we drop yesterday, four? When 9 doesn't make a spectacular catch, I'm disappointed. He is that good. You can watch his TD catch and punt return TD here. Like many have said, I'll miss him next year. BTW, what a terrible coaching call kicking it to him in that situation. I wish the Zips could have made it hurt worse so it was a bigger story. For the first three quarters every time they showed the stands, I saw nobody, not one fan. In the fourth quarter, I saw a couple dozen. Denzel Jones Jr. run the ball hard late. Does anybody know if Ball was dressed? Still looking forward to the Toledo game Wednesday. Get it back on track, this is the Mac, crazy things always happen. I'm sure Bowden will say "all our goals are in front of us", and he is correct. I wish we could have played this game at near one hundred percent healthy.

Nobody predicted Jerome to not have a TD. No winners this week. The Zips only had 128 yards rushing, and obviously didn't win. Better luck next week.

What did Ohio do successfully to beat Toledo? Just looking at the stats, they ran the ball effectively, and stopped the run. The Zips are not very good at either right now. Brown leads Ohio to 31-26 win; 1st win at Toledo since 1967 ESPN3 replays.

Did the same. Solid advice. Thanks. Now, can you convince Woodson to take that glove off?

Use Kodi app.

There is a login with Playstation Vue credentials. That doesn't work?

WatchESPN is right on my tv. WatchESPN – available to 93 million homes through every major multichannel programming distributor across platforms including computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices – averaged 6.7 million unique devices and 1.3 billion minutes per month, up 3% and 22%, respectively (source: Adobe SiteCatalyst). WatchESPN recorded its top 15 highest audiences ever for Monday Night Football, top five regular season college football games.

All the QB's you mentioned threw more interceptions than touchdowns in any year they played. I would give some credit to Butchie, since he did the opposite and is second in career yards, but still not close to the Woodson/Getsy/Frye discussion.

Does throwing for more yards in more games make you a "better" college quarterback, or does winning big games during your college career make you a "better" QB? I wouldn't use yards as my number one criteria in deciding best Akron QB. I would also add Luke Getsy to the debate of best UA QB. I would start with biggest games won, and throw in TD's per game, and mix in some third down conversion rate, and end with some qb efficiency rating if I were to debate. Talent around you should have to be in the discussion as well.

What sports fan doesn't have WatchESPN?

Alvin plays the safety position.

Do Bowl games and MCC games count toward career stats? TW could get back a few starts there.

Does anybody know who is hired to announce the game tonight (on ESPN3)? The football team got a mention here.

The latest weather update looks to be improved. Seems like the line will close as the Zips being a 17.5 favorite. No real update on the pseudo-injury list. Only Ball listed. If Ball dresses, I would like to see him get a few late carries for some confidence going forward.

Andrew Miller: Living the Dream ANDREW MILLER PITCHER / CLEVELAND INDIANS The feeling you get when you win a Major League Baseball playoff series is tough to describe. It’s almost like you don’t know where you are, and for a while you can’t feel anything. It’s as though your body doesn’t know what to make of it. It’s like you’re moving even though you’re just standing still. But then there’s a certain energy that takes over when you reach the clubhouse to celebrate. It becomes a frantic scene of hugs and congratulations all around. There’s a sense of relief that the hard work has paid off, and a chance to appreciate everyone who helped the team get to that point. The champagne perfectly magnifies the energy........click on link above for the rest of the article....

Not that this has been totally accurate, but this is the least amount of players I have seen listed in a month. Reminder, coaches aren't required to "list" anyone. Coach told us in this week's presser, Ball would return this week or next. Buffalo CB Boise Ross Knee injured last game, "?" vs. Akron DL Chris Ford Undisclosed"?" vs. Akron OL Tyler O'Henly Concussion"?" vs. Akron up to date at time of this post

Second page of the Ball State thread. Good info.

Agreed. I see Kato in every timeout huddle near the sideline during the games. He seems involved IMO.
-
Maybe Tommy's mindset is like Luke Getsy's and he is set on winning a MAC championship. That's not a problem.

For reference, here are the Zips rushing totals per game thus far: VMI–151, Wis–88, Mar–145, App St–133, KSU–141, Mia–125, WMU–130, BSU–177

This could be an issue for some. If there is a Game 7 of the World Series, it is Wednesday November 2 at Progressive Field 8 pm

It's hard for me to follow a guy on a broadcast because he is out of the camera view so much. I'm amazed how many times AD1 ends up effectively covering, or tackling a TE (comical size difference). I got a shot of defending a TE in the Miami game. Here is one of him violently throwing his body at the RB for a tackle too. I thought it was interesting, in the above presser, how coach said he is worried about him getting hurt because he is so small. You're right about Scott, I hope he gets a chance to shadow Corey Davis the entire game in December. He didn't get that chance in October. It seemed like (to me) a coaches decision to not follow Davis when he lined up at different positions (X,Y and Z).

Woodson is the 6th rated QB in the nation. The MAC has three QB's in the top 6!?!?
