  1. "We have the hardest schedule in the MAC next year" -Thomas Woodson VMI at Wisconsinat MarshallAPPALACHIAN STATEBOWLING GREENMIAMI (OHIO)TOLEDOWESTERN MICHIGANat Ball Stateat Buffaloat Can't Stateat Ohio
  2. I like that. I hope they are on a Saturday in the afternoon.
  3. I'll guess the plan is to improve the effectiveness of the offensive line.
  4. Good call. Thank you. Once again, nice broadcast by ASN. Good to see some other talent in the MAC. The loss may actually have been good for this team in the long run. Let's see how they respond on Friday in Toledo.
  5. If a recruits goal was to play in the NFL, he would get noticed at Akron, if he had the talent.
  6. Check out this year's pro day and see how many NFL scouts (people that count) know who Akron is. Basketball and football are apples and oranges.
  7. Not sure Rodney will be drafted or not, but he will be the player I will miss the most next season. He did more that didn't show up on stat sheets than most fans will ever realize. He helped others get their stats while he did a lot of dirty work. I hope he ends up in Latrobe this summer. I hope that Cody gets a chance to develop at the next level because he is such a great representative of the U. Should be a fun pro day this year.
  8. Lot's of good points today. Good job guys. I'm not sure many watched the first half of the CSU/Zips game. I loved that half of basketball. The Zips played very efficient team basketball. Lots of movement away from the ball. What happen to that? They are miles from that half of basketball. Antino is a special player. I hope he continues to have the opportunity to progress. He can be one of the better players we have seen in the JAR in a long time.
  9. And pro career. Khalil Mack makes history as an AP All-Pro at 2 positions!?!
  10. Caught my attention early this year, now on NFL draft analyst Kevin Weidl's radar. More here.
  11. "It's important to note that Nelson was offered by Illinois as an athlete, and not a quarterback. The Zips are recruiting Nelson to be their quarterback of the future, and seems to be an ideal fit within their offense."
  12. The Zips are an eleven and a half point favorite.
  13. Genius. My christmas shopping for 2016 might be done already. Thank you. I can think of a few with a similar theme for Akron sports.
  14. Very unfortunate for Zips fans.
  15. If Andy Dalton can't suit up for Saturday's playoff game, Keith Wenning could be one play away from getting his first NFL snap. Well written story on Johnny Manziel's 2015 season. Game photos of Johnny's game in Pittsburgh. The Browns Visit Heinz Field by Ryan Hendrickson on Exposure
  16. Agreed. I know it sounds awkward to give credit for someone doing their job, but Zips fans tend to get subpar talent. They did a nice job. Murry Bartow was the commentator, and Carl Reuter did the play by play. Murry even gave credit to Brian for helping him view Akron's practice. I thought that was respectful. Murry did a nice job pointing out the Zips successful offensive plays during the game that he saw in practice. I remember KD saying at the beginning of the season that he was going to simplify our offense, I was hoping Murry was going to expand on that, but maybe he was unaware. I wonder if that is even a true statement anymore.
  17. Upon further web browsing.... In September 2015, ASN reached a deal with the Mid-American Conference, sub-licensed through ESPN, to broadcast selected games. In the 2015–16 academic season, ASN will broadcast 10 football games, 10 men's basketball games. Here is the MAC tv schedule, seems like ASN has MAC games on Tuesdays, which will work out nice for Zips fans when we play at Central next Tuesday. Also Feb 23rd at Miami, and March 1st when Ohio visits the JAR. Worth marking your calendar IMO. Replay found here. I think you are right. The Akron/Miami game was on ASN.
  18. Recommended by Bernie Sanders and Bill O'Reilly. IMDb The Big Short (2015)
  19. You could be right. Maybe I was just impressed with both of their professionalism, because I'm so used to seeing, and listening to D class broadcasts. UA should follow whatever UB did. Love having everything on ESPN3. Kudos to UB for increasing my enjoyment of the game.
  20. Nice win for the Zips in a hard place to get a win (for them). I wish every away game was broadcast on the American Sports Network. I think they do a nice job. It was an entertaining broadcast last night. I think they did the UMass (football) game this year too.
  21. Only missed one thing. Under TV/Radio/Internet, should have mentioned the game is on ESPN3.
  22. ...and transfer at the end of the season.
  23. Not impressive last night, but congratulations goes to Teddy Bridgewater, who was the first to win a division title. Bortles and Bridgewater finished 0.5 from each other in quarterback rating this year. Carr finished above both of them. Bortles finished one TD short of leading the league in TD passes. Derek Carr should have been in the original poll.
  24. The Zips played in the 21st ranked bowl game of the year...according to Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports. Better than the Cotton Bowl or Rose Bowl games.
  25. Congrats for achieving in the face of adversity TW13! I wonder what next years outcome goals will be?
