Well we knew this time would come but after taking Akron to 4 straight MAC Tourney finals and leading us to the postseason the last 3 years KD is moving on to a BCS school. Iowa has given him an offer he couldn't resist and which is a lot more than Akron can pay. OK APRIL FOOLS.

The workers in the JAR team shop, the new team shop, and the little trailer they have at soccer games are all employees of Barnes & Nobles.

So word is that Jake Barnett was released from Toledo. Avged 13ppg 1.5ast 37% 3pt 34 min a game. He is a 6-5 Guard. Do we want him?

Well we do need another PG so thats good. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 5th player too...

I posted this in another thread but I would like to make it a thread of its own... I went to the Marketing Department last week and asked some questions. They have no say in what is in the team shop since Barnes & Nobles is in charge of it. They can suggest things but BN doesn't have to listen to the request. This seems wrong to me. It is OUR team shop so AKRON ATHLETICS should be in charge of it. How did we get in this deal?

++ Concur with that sentiment -- as if I haven't been saying it for months. And, if TPSjuggler is correct -- we will be down to Zero on any slasher-type players. Is this addition by subtraction?? Don't worry I wasn't right at all.

Steve Swiech is NOT leaving. He is not the type of person who would transfer out just for playing time. I would say Alex Sullivan is a good guess. The other I am going to say is Humpty. Both players got suspended this year. Humpty doesn't always get along with KD and throws fits. It will be one of these two.

I was actually reasonably impressed with the way DeVaughn Washington (6-8, 225 lbs) performed this year -- 50% from the field, 70% on free throws, 11 points and 5 rebounds per game. He's not a dominator, but I think he will give Ohio a decent inside presence next year in his senior season. No doubt Washington is good inside, but my point was, Zeke tops him in height by 4 inches. Zeke averaged 16.8 min 5.1 pts 3.9 reb 1.7 blks Washington averaged 25.6 min 11.3 pts 5.4 reb .4 blks Zeke averages against Ohio 16.6 min 2.6 pts 3 reb 1 blks Washington averages against Akron 27.6 min 9.3 pts 6.6 reb .3 blks Ohio also has a 6' 10" player coming in next year so there goes the height advantage you speak of.

I as screaming about that the entire Championship game! Cooper is great is pushing off and hitting a 3. Our guys couldn't do anything about it because they would call a foul on us.

Surprised I haven't seen this on here but there has been work going on at the stadium the last week at least. Nice pile of dirt showing progress. A web cam for this wouldn't be as exciting as the football stadium.
