Maybe if the Zips football team wins 4-5 games we can claim the same? I'd love to see a "#4 most improved team in NCAA" banner hanging somewhere around InfoCision.

Obviously not 2023-season related, but 2024-26. Do we think it's even remotely possible the Browns could use InfoCision Stadium again to play a season while their stadium is being renovated? Every article says Columbus is the most likely destination, but that makes no sense and is just speculation. Canton has been suggested too. Which is fine, but not nearly as nice as InfoCision. Especially with the press box, suites, club level, etc. I find it odd that nobody is even mentioning Akron. I'm sure UA and the surrounding businesses would love to host the Browns for a year or two. Probably just a pipe dream but I hope the Browns at least consider it.

Not that I want to drive any traffic away from this site, but I still find it crazy that the Zips fanbase seems so small and almost non-existent on social media. There's maybe 2-3 good twitter and instagram handles, with nothing on reddit. It would be cool if we could really build a decent following everywhere.

I couldn't stop laughing at their coach drawing up a play on his board with just over a second left, down 5. What play are you calling there? Nothing makes me happier than seeing these big schools get knocked off by underdogs. Except for Indiana tonight, go Hoosiers.

Hopefully Indiana can blow this game open in the second half. We are getting so close to never having to see Carry or Chris Payton ever again.

I wish there were a way to drop some of the dead weight and join up with some of the stronger schools from the AAC/CUSA/SunBelt to create a new conference. But of course it would never happen and I'd assume that because of our horrible football showings on the field and in the stands, no legit conference will ever be interested in adding the Zips.

The MAC will never be a two bid league if the season champs can't even win a game in the NIT.

I was at their arena back in 2008 for a game and it was very underwhelming. Felt very similar to some D2-3 gyms I have been to. The renovations were a huge approvement aesthetically but almost makes it look smaller. Like what BG has. I think the Zips are in a better spot with Groce as a coach. We waited a long time for KD's teams to make the leap and it never happened. I'd expect Dukes fans (if there are any) to be waiting a long time as well.

Duquesne has been mediocre since the 70s. I think they had one or two NIT appearances since then. I'm sure they are happy to see a coach have a winning season. Which is hilarious because the rest of their sports are a joke and the athletic department puts all their money towards basketball since they have nothing else.

I had the Dukes in my parlay tonight. Really didn't think they'd lose to one of the worst A10 teams. ..and to think, KD went to that school for an easier path to the NCAA Tournament.

Came here to say the same thing. This game is flat out embarrassing and I actually think this is worse than the VCU game. At least they were a good team.

We really went from looking like the best team in the MAC, to the worst. As a Zips fan I'm not even surprised at this point.

Zips are playing terrible. But calling fouls on us every possession is a complete joke. Guess we aren't allowed to rebound, go for steals, box out or set screens.

Well guess we were due for a clunker and this is definitely one of those. Going from that crowd Friday, to this has to be deflating for a team. What the heck are people doing on a Tuesday in Akron that they can't make it out?

Someone on the reddit post game thread said the same thing. I actually think he deserves a 10 year extension if not longer.

I don't understand why Akron fans don't get it. Keep seeing comments on how awesome the atmosphere was and what a great game it was to be at. But it could be like that every game. It was like that for soccer ten years ago. Didn't matter if we were playing a Big Ten team or Bowling Green, the place was packed. You can show up for more games, not just the one's against a cross town rival. This team deserves better crowds on a consistent basis.
