Not having a free trial and in the age of streaming is crazy to me. Even if it was just one day trial, just so people can test out a service. They probably realize that it's so bad everyone would most likely cancel right away. On top of that most sports related subscriptions are $5-15. I can watch the Cavs all month for half the price it costs to watch the Zips play 3 games? Because that makes sense.

I thought they would have a free trial or something. But $30 per month? Yeah no thanks.

What's crazy is only 3 Big East basketball teams play their home games on campus. Almost the entire league uses larger arenas owned by the city, professional team or entertainment company like Madison Square Garden. Their on-campus arenas are all worse than the JAR. St. John's Carnesecca Arena is practically the same building. Unfortunately we all know that the city of Akron will never build an arena and Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse is way too far.

Nice! Now would the Big East be interested in adding a team for a few other sports? Maybe a basketball team that's pretty good but plays in a high school gym and draws a few hundred a game? Just wondering...

Might be one of the worst Zips performances I've ever seen. Losing the Morgan State would be flat out embarrassing.

Yikes this teams inability to score is beyond frustrating. Especially since that's kinda important if you want to win basketball games.

Zips 1 point lead turns into another run for Miss St. Just brutal at this point and falling apart. We are like 2-100 from 3 point yet they keep checking them up.

Shooting like 30% from the field isn't going to get it down. Just abysmal. Can't tell if it's just an off night shooting or if Miss St is playing shut down D.

Feels very similar to the SDSU game. Zips fall behind, make a run to cut the lead down to one possession, let opponent go on big run. Just can't seem to keep the momentum going long enough to get a lead. Just go cold when it gets close.

Missing so many shots in the paint and not getting any looks from 3 for X.

These Barstool dudes remind me of that party I went to at the TKE frat once. All the guys there were loud, drunk, sexually harassed the girls we were with and wanted to fight us. I think if they got old and started a sports media company, it would be exactly like Barstool.

Shumate has a very punchable face. Almost like a Toledo version of Christian Laettner.

To be fair these aren't legitimate sports announcers. We're basically getting a Manningcast style broadcast. Just a bunch of random podcasters and the president of Barstool talking about a game. No way we're starting until like 7:30 now

I've never been one to back my own team. But I'm taking the Akron moneyline at +215. Why they heck not?

A kid making a steal, in a tied game with seconds left on the clock is an awesome play. He saved the game for us and that's the most infuriating part. If it was a random missed layup in the first half, fine we can have a few chuckles about it. But we're really supposed to laugh at that play? Give me a break.

Portnoy has his own list of controversies too. Between his treatment of women, his political views (which have gotten a bit better over the years) and just overall being a jerk to people. I do however enjoy his pizza reviews and the fact that he hates Ohio State.

I was REALLY sweating this one out for both reasons. I can't imagine what people go through that bet large sums of money, when I'm stressing over a few bucks.

That missed layup sums up the night perfectly. One team is making everything and getting all the lucky bounces, the other is hustling like crazy but can't catch a break.

Man this game is so frustrating. Feel like every time the Zips cut the deficit down to a few points, or tie it up, SD goes on a huge run.

Okay I lied I don't want to watch this anymore. Take the stream back.

The best part is that nobody probably has realized it's not working. Just us here.

Glad I'm not the only one who does this! People say it's dumb, but honestly I can't imagine betting on any of my teams to actually win. Watching the Zips lose and also losing money would be brutal.

Interesting. I went back and forth and actually took SDS +3. Maybe it's all the years of watching KD's teams come out flat to start the year, or just my negative nancy NE Ohio fandom getting in the way. I have a feeling it's going to be a really tight came that can go either way.
