Dawson had 2nd most points today with 9, but I do agree in general - bench mob has not been bringing the energy they were a month ago. For some reason I feel it goes as Mike Wynn goes. When he plays good, that unit seems to play good. Maybe because he's so animate. When Reece or Dawson play solid, I don't seem to notice it as much. Definitely haven't seen anything lately from Clarke like we did earlier in the season nor has Tribble improved off of his freshman season. He may have even regressed.

His opinion just stinks, honestly. Outside of EMU and NIU clunkers, which were clearly an anomoly, we've lost to MAC leading Toledo and St Bonaventure, who is currently 4th in the A-10. We have a 2 game lead over Can't with the tiebreaker and they have a similar schedule to end conference play. Its more likely we win the conference than finish 3rd place IMO.

They must really hold those two losses to EMU and NIU against us. Context is important. Outside of those two games, we're clearly a top 2 MAC team IMO.

And this is why if I had to pick one or the other (not that there was ever a choice), I would have preferred to get the COVID issues out of the way in preseason/OOC compared to conference play. Its much more important than the chance to take Illinois to OT.

I haven't read the article, but what was his point here? Honestly I see no real difference between Miami and Ball St in the 7 or 8 seed, nor do I see much difference in BG, Owho, Canada, and Rootstown CC in the 3-6 seeds, and at this point, I'd bet against any of those scenarios changing.

I think I read the NIT isn't guaranteeing a spot for conference champs who don't make the dance, so unless you care about a regular season championship a ton (which is nice, but the tourney is more important to me), I don't think the 1 vs the 2 seed is a big deal looking at potential match ups. I wouldn't be shocked if Toledo preferred to have a week off to rest up.

West Florida is D2 though that division maxes out at 36. Can't speak for West Florida, but most PSAC teams, which is a very good D2 conference, only offer in the 20s.
