I actually didn't think he looked bad on the court in the very limited time he got....just not a fit for the team apparently and who knows what happened behind the scenes. Take my opinions on bigs with a grain of salt, I was also higher on Kostelac than others too.

I think this new transfer rule, though seemingly expected, will lead to a few new faces that can immediately contribute (which we've all been wanting). Just reading between the lines on some coach tweets and my belief there are still scholly's available. They've had spring ball to see where the biggest needs are for the upcoming season, now lets fill holes and get more competitive.

Re the spring game, I feel like I've known for a while there wouldn't be open, at least open to the public. No insider info..I read or heard it somewhere. The lack of media attention sucks! No doubt about it. No spring roster, no interviews, etc. It definitely hurts fan engagement IMO. However, I would assume its at least in large part due to budget cuts. People love shitting on UA sports (even more so football), but they took their share of budget cuts as well.

So assuming the 3 seniors (LCJ, Dailey, Reece) don't come back, and Currie and Marshall are gone, we have room to add at least 2 players who can contribute right away. Creators, creators, and more creators please.

I'm not either, but I can't see it now as well! The U is covering tuition and general expenses (after other aid) for freshman who are eligible to receive Pell Grants for their first two years. Limited to Summit County and surrounding counties. Based on my memory, anyways.

Good news for once!

Kato looking good, Arth wants to make sure he isn’t pushing shoulder too hard. Gibson still needs to work on fundamentals. Arth still makes mention of his natural talent, however. DJ Irons out with illness (but not COVID). Expectation is that QB battle will go into summer. SL McCall opening eyes. He will probably play DE in situations with 4 down lineman. Can play OLB too. Interesting that George mentions a walk-on RB (ball) and a Rb who is no longer here (AFAIK) in Childs.

For whatever its worth, sometimes I'm known to carry a loaded, concealed gun around. I don't intend to ever shoot anyone, but its nice to know if I ever need it that I have it. Sherman St in Akron is probably a place it would make sense to carry. The difference for me however is that I do it legally. Of course there are also some hoops to jump through to be able to do that, which consist of age, time, and financial resources. The situation is a bad look regardless. Just offering a different perspective. Whatever the intent was, I hope Dollard gets and stays on the right track or he might end up throwing away an opportunity that could change his and his family's life for generations to come. Its not worth it man.

I can't find what their assistant salary pool is offhand, but their HC gets paid ~4x what Arth does at 1.7mm. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Everett at least doubled his salary. What would you do? I hate to say this thought is creeping into my head, but can we really expect to ever be consistently competitive outside of our conference if we can't keep up financially with peers across the country?

This all just sucks.
