Do not want to create a new thread, but it appears the RB to replace Ball* has been on the team since last season. Deltron Sands, former 3* recruit out of STA and Oregon State, is now listed on the roster. He was one of 4 freshman not to get redshirted for Oregon State his first and only year there before going down with an injury. Ended up being dismissed from the program for unspecified reasons. He will be either a RFr. or RSoph. as the article posted states Oregon State was going to try to get a medical redshirt for him. My guess is that he will be a RSoph. He looks like the front runner if no Ball. Yeah I think my guess is if they win the next 4 they will sneak into the top 25.@NIU, @OU, and @EMU will be tough though.

Names to watch on National signing day coming up Wednesday: Bubba Arslanian - LB, Aurora. COMMITTED. Moris Lugo - LB, Miami Carol City. 247 has him committed. Scout has said he reopened recruiting a few months ago and FIU and Akron are the top schools still. Has 5 FBS offers. Jeffrey Lubin, CB, Hollywood, FL. Supposed to be between ISU and Akron. Crystal ball prediction has him going to Akron. MN came on strong late, but it appears he will not get an offer. Has 6 D1 offers (3 of them P5). Zaire Jacobs, S, St. Thomas Aquinas, Fl. Akron listed as favorite, but Crystal Ball has him predicted to go to FAMU(?!). Also has offers from Temple, Ball State, and MTSU. Maxi Hradecny, DT, Austria. Reportedly has FBS offers from Akron, UMASS, and Kent St. Am I missing anyone??

Appears that Lubin was not offered on his visit to MN this weekend. Crystal Ball prediction is still Akron FWIW. Interestingly enough their stud senior class that just graduated was ranked 7th (ours 8th) in 2013.Random - Manny Morgan was our 3rd highest ranked recruit, and a 3 star at that. WMU has some big holes to fill. It will be interesting to see how those top ranked recruits do.

Eh it is not bragging as I definitely want better. Just pointing out that the rankings clearly are not the end all be all. I also did not appreciate the mocking of us getting local recruits when I think some of them are quite talented. The local kids have also proven to be key members of the program. At least we may not end up last in the MAC this year Imagine what coaches could do with middle of the road MAC recruiting classes??

Good to see Weiland commit. @Blue & Gold likes him and he seems pretty informed on local HS football. Gasser wasn't that impressive last year, IMO. The Barto thing seems a tad odd. We are his only reported offer.

Well not every recruit is on that list and the class isn't final, but whatever. We've won a bowl game and had the most ever D-1 wins ever with classes ranked last in the MAC year after year.

Yeah, back in November a scout writer tweeted that Lugo has reopened his commitment and Akron and FIU are the front runners. That's still what Scout shows today. I don't think 247 ever changed the status. Who knows.

FYI I cannot find anything new on Moris Lugo. Still appears it is between us and FIU (seems like we compete with them a lot).

Meh I don't think there was any malicious intent. Clearly Buffalo thought it was a better option to foul Big Dog rather than to let him shoot (and they were right). They were just locked up and Big Dog went to catch the post pass.

Its quite amazing. He's gotten plenty of deserved love so far this season. So great to have him finally become the player most of us thought he could be.

I've seen Nate Oats run down and apparently try to spook Kwan twice now on that corner 3. A little classless if you ask me.
