It could be an unsubstantiated rumor for all we or anyone else knows. Ball State coaches aren't scouring this message board looking for any rumor they can use to their advantage. Point is, there's a ton of assumptions going on here so nothing really confidential is being given. For all we know, it could be some back up d-lineman who hasn't been mentioned yet with the way Bowden likes to keep his injury report tight to his chest. It gives me an other some hope and I'm glad he shared it. Ball State isn't going to waste their time game planning on internet speculation.

You could be right. I know Tom Herman is the hottest name out there right now though and he is a G5 coach. Fleck isn't too far behind him and will have a good shot at a New Years Day bowl assuming he can get by Toledo. I haven't seen any hot P5 coordinator candidates being talked about. You'd hope one of these days that these MAC coaches would get smart and stop taking jobs at lesser P5 programs. What Hazell did at KSU was amazing, but he jumped ship too soon and has probably committed career suicide at Purdon't.

The PI may have been missed. It could have gone either way probably. The negated interception was the correct call and the 4th and 1 was clearly short from my view on tv. I didn't pay close attention as the game went on, but Bell at DE could end up being a good move with his talent/our lack of talent at DE in the future (and lack of impact play now)/the LBs we have becoming eligible next season. This loss is embarrassing, but its time to worry about next week. 8-4 and going to get a second shot at WMU hopefully a lot healthier is still a legitimate possibility.
