The idea originates from football. I believe it was done during the 2014 season.

Not to mention we have 3 other capable "primary" scorers coming back next year anyways in Antino, Noah, and Josh. Now if we are talking primary POST scorers, well, Big Dog is already that this year so I wouldn't expect a huge change. I think 15-16 a game is a reasonable estimate if he can continue this level of play into next season. He has made his huge leap this season. I find it hard to believe he would have huge leaps in back to back seasons.

Isaiah is playing phenomenal this season and is only averaging 13. Assuming he will make some gigantic leap to 20 ppg is quite a stretch.
-
If that's seriously his attitude, this program has peaked under him.
-
I share your stance on scheduling, but we did play the current #1 team in the country this season...That's progress at least.
-
Smith had himself a pretty nice NFL career. Calling him one of the best NFL defensive players in 20 years is quite a stretch. Dwight's accolades don't come close to sniffing James'.

There aren't that many teams that could win despite that rebounding deficit.

Thats actually pretty funny. I agree. It baffles me how shitty our broadcast equipment its.

Shazier is a beast at LB. While im sure his injuries are frustrating, I'm not sure it would work out well for Brown or Shazier to move to safety. I think the two are good comparisons actually. They both are a bit small for their position but play fast and hard and aren't afraid to hit.

Bruce Feldman Verified account @BruceFeldmanCFB AM RT: The rich just got richer. Meet new #Alabama WR grad transfer Gehrig Dieter. He's got a heckuva story. No Babers, no Johnson, no Lewis, no Greene, and now no Dieter. The East is ripe for the taking.

We lost to a team that prior to beating us, was under .500 in MAC play. When we are the supposed "class" of the league, I'd say its laying an egg. They have a double digit loss to Miami for cryin' out loud.

Something that needs acknowledged is the apparent relationship between Urban Meyer and Terry Bowden. Urban Meyer knows the guys looking to leave his program and I'm sure is greatly involved with where they land since these players dont have agents. You'll notice none of them are going to other B1G/prominent programs even though they probably could.Since Coach has been here, I wouldn't be surprised if we have more OSU transfers than all other MAC schools/Cinci combined. I can only think of Najee Murray going to Kent, and that may have been when Hazell was still there. I recall reading reports of Bowden attending some OSU camps. More recently, I believe during the signing day presser (skip is going to love this), Bowden himself stated that OSU isn't our rival. It's apparent that Meyer doesn't see it that way either considering the players he is helping Bowden land . You can pray for OSU to crash and burn (and that's ok), but the reality of it is that it's not going to happen. What you should pray for is for Akron to get in a position to challenge OSU for recruits and on the playing field - see Houston .They came out of nowhere this year with Herman, won a BCS bowl, and landed a 5* recruit in this class. I am thankful for the relationship right now. It has helped us fill some glaring holes and add some quality players. I wouldn't mind if that relationship ended due to us competing with them on and off the field.

Nobody bats 1.000, but Bauserman was a Tressel recruit.

Has UA ever had a higher caliber RB? I'm more worried about the OL than him. Not being able to get time over the likes of Carlos Hyde and Zeke Elliot isn't a knock against him.
-
I looked at the comments in that article and they seem to think pretty highly of him as a person and football player. Something else I got from that article: OSU is still two players over the scholly limit. Lets go, Coach!

George Thomas @GeorgeThomasABJ 6m6 minutes ago Warren Ball, 6-1 RB from Ohio State will graduate and transfer to UA to play for @ZipsFB, according to a source. This is huge. Guy was highly rated IIRC. Never saw the field due to all of the talent in front of him.

Or how good we hope we are.
-
Indeed. If there is anything I've learned as a ZipsMBB fan though, its not to get your hopes up. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.
-
Nice closeout even with Big Dog going down. Hope he is okay. Players like him and Josh really coming along could be the difference in just another season or a dream season. Just keep winning!

I can't get the game to load, but the OU - Ball State game loads fine. Lovely ESPN3, or is it American Sports network? edit: looks like its working after 8 or so tries.

Could only imagine the uproar if they did purchase a commercial.

I knew there was something I was missing. Thanks.

Has KD ever landed a McDonald's All American before??? My guess would be no. This seems like big news.

I suppose I'll throw in my 2 cents since this conversation is picking up steam. Would I like a bigger and better freshman signing class? Hell yes I would. I think the staff still has a way to go in that regard, and I think that is something that will come with more winning and more time. However, when you compare this years class to classes of year's past, I like this freshman class the best! All but 2 I believe had at least another D1 offer. It hasn't been like that in previous years. More importantly, I think all of these guys can play and contribute a the D1 level. I haven't thought that before. I would like more top end talent, sure, but if we aren't wasting scholly's (in my eyes), then I cant complain. I've watched the film on all of these guys with exception to maybe a few lineman, and I like what I see. Look at Shawn Featherstone's film (somebody nobody is talking about) and Tyler Gilchrist and try to tell me you think these guys can't be ballers at our level. When you look at transfers, which nobody does, this class all of the sudden looks a lot better.

Same discussion every year. Not worth the time to get into the debate for the umpteenth time, but all I know is that we had the most wins in D1 history and our first ever bowl win last season so I'll keep my mouth shut and let the cards fall where they may.
