  1. Pressure's on for Guthrie to get the new hire right.
  2. What ironic about that is the A10 is a one bid league this year. At least he got his 20 win season. Last I recall, KD's contract was up at the end of the year. Wonder what they do?
  3. While I don't necessarily disagree that Enrique isn't the type of shot blocker that Zeke or Aziz were/are, he did win conference DPOY last year.
  4. Agreed @Blue & Gold, Cleveland State and YSU are two teams we should play every year, no matter what (home or away). I think there'd be much better attendance/interest than playing some random Sun Belt team or other low-major.
  5. You can buy tickets at the gate without the fee. Even so, a 25% surcharge on a $15 ticket totals $18.75.
  6. So we are tied for the best average recruit rating in the MAC per Rivals.
  7. His profile says D-1 bounceback. Any idea where he started his career?
  8. See them next week it matters most. Carry and Payton aren’t always going to play that well. To the contrary, X and Hankerson playing that bad was pretty rare. I like our chances if we see them in Cleveland.
  9. WOW. Onto OT!
  10. It looked like the KEnt player didn’t touch it, but weird how the ball would’ve had that type of reflection off of Hunter’s hands.
  11. We’re afraid of Payton.
  12. Somebody want to stop letting these guys dunk all over us?
  13. Hope so. We’re gonna need it.
  14. Sammy Hunter came to play!
  15. Clean it up…
  16. Airballing wide open 3s..nice
  17. Mostly thinking in terms of next year - I think Sammy is a solid piece to our team in that he can obviously be hot from the 3 on any given night. He can also get some buckets down low and hit some jumpers. I don't think he's the type of player who should be expected to take over games regularly as he's not really a creator. He's taken a lot of criticism this season, but I think it was mostly deserved in OOC play and less so in MAC play. He's been more selective and efficient in MAC play based on my observation and stats seem to back that up as he's 20th in conference in FG% and 14th in 3pt%, which is the best on our team (just ahead of X). If you can get 10-12 out of him on average, that's meeting expectations in my mind. He's currently at 8.3ppg in MAC play.
  18. Everybody has different financial situations and has a right to spend their money however they want, but I'll just share my approach for consideration. I know I can only usually make it to a few games a year. Considering that and the games not being a "hot ticket in town", I only purchase GA tickets. Happy to up that to reserved seating whenever I feel its personally appropriate, but to me, the $120 for two GA tickets is more a show of support than anything. Obviously, the few games I'm able to make it to and the tickets already being paid for is nice too. Additionally, you can transfer them if you know of somebody else attending and you can't go. Unsure if they still do it, but a few years ago they'd let you transfer tickets from say a weeknight CMU game to a weekend Ohio game, so if you host a tailgate and have people attending who otherwise might not be, having tickets for them/maximizing your season ticket purchase is also nice.
  19. Agreed. Re-upped my two tickets as well a few days ago. Regardless of schedule and the amount of games I will be able to attend, its worth it to me to show support for our staff, players, and University. Go Zips.
  20. SC finished the year ranked #23 and beat Clemson and Tennessee. I would expect them to continue on a similar trajectory if not improve.
  21. Thanks for making the facts clear. A few things stink about the schedule. Complain about it? Sure. Blaming Guthrie is misplaced though.
  22. 5 home games again. Bleh.
  23. Nice win. D needs to tighten up and we need more out of the supporting cast, however.
  24. Awesome job by those 3. Everybody else, not so much.
