With the spring roster updates (losing Logan Hawkins who I believe wasn't out of eligibility but walked for senior day, Caleb Herring (OL), Adetutu Daranjo (S), Ryan McClain (OLB), and Brycen Yarmo (TE), I have us down to 82 scholarship players. I'm sure there will be a couple additional leave after spring ball. Our biggest loss thus far to the portal was Tristian Brank. The staff has done a really good job retaining the talent we have on the roster, and we should have 5-6 scholarships to use in the 2nd portal period. With those numbers along with another wave of players who hit after they realize they aren't part of the team's future the upcoming season, I feel really good about the staff addressing the few remaining holes we have, which I would address by adding 2 DE, 1 OL, 1 CB, and maybe 1 LB.

You rock @catdaddyp. Really enjoy you bringing other conference members' recruits into the discussion so we can gauge how they're doing and how we stack up.

Nobody in the MAC is beating OU tonight the way they are shooting, but it sure would be nice to get offensive contributions from literally anyone outside of X and Freeman.

We’re falling apart.

How can you call a foul on both players for one, and if it is a foul on both players, why didn’t we get the free throw?!?

Hankerson is off..

Weak T on Toledo. Didn’t hang on the rim, unless they’re saying he was taunting.

None that we know of, though probably some that have given up football we aren’t of and I’m sure more will transfer at the conclusion of spring ball after they realize they aren’t going to play.

Tuesday is big. The northeast Ohio sports fan in me expects a let down. Hope the Zips prove me wrong!

Great win. Feels like we were pretty cold in the 2nd half and all of Kent States fouls kind of gave it to us, but I’ll take it! Tonight’s unsung here - Garvin Clarke. Though not a lot of scoring, made a lot of good hustle plays.

Kent giving it to us with these fouls. Glad we’re hitting the FTs.

Yeah. she's far from a Jackie Windon.

Kent having some calls go their way....

Freeman with a 3?!

This is fun!

Somebody needs to tell me what they called on that play. I didn't see anything that could possibly resemble a flop?!

Getting something from everybody. Keep it up and we take home the W.

Not a knock on Tavari's potential, but I think I trust Clarke more than him in these big games.

Don't know why we'd give the ball to Freeman in the corner like that.

Hunter and Hankerson! Lets go!

Lets go Zips!

I didn't know Brank was in the portal either. Bummer there, but we have a lot of capable guys at TE. Outside of small toss ups here and there (like Jones and Thomas at DT),I think you are spot on @catdaddyp. I think we are in agreement on wanting another DE to challenge starting spot or least add depth (a true freshman and tweener listed in the top 2 isn't ideal IMO), another OL to challenge the guys on the interior, and another CB for good measure.

Hits a 3 in the 2nd half...announcers "Carry doubles his point total". 😁

Fair points. I usually overlook the specialists as my understanding is whoever wins the jobs are the ones who get the scholarships. Unsure who they'd be at this point.
