I would think Boldon's built up enough credits to get another year or two. He's been pretty good there for quite a while now. Another 6-23 year may heat it up quickly, though.

Freeman's a great kid and a great player for us, but I don't see how his current display of skills at 6'7" transfers to the NBA. At his size he would be a small forward and although he is a great rebounder, he is not a wide body like Fortson (or Barkley). His game is a lot like Trayce Jackson Davis of Indiana, who is 6'9". TJD stayed a fourth season to get better and still hasn't really shown a shot range facing the basket. Hopefully Freeman will learn a few things as he tests the NBA waters and come back and lead the Zips to another big season.

For those of you interested or may have missed it, Melissa tweeted a picture of her new baby girl Cameron Jaye Jackson. Unfortunately, she also has tweeted that her father passed away around the 18th. Wide range of emotions going on in the Jackson household I guess.

Yikes, that doesn't inspire much confidence about our new women's coach selection. Since we stilI haven't heard, I assume our AD is hiring one of the coaches from the programs left still playing in the NCAA or NIT? 🤔

An assistant coach on the CSU men's team is married to one of Melissa's assistants. Not sure if that qualifies as close ties in terms of affecting their women's coach taking Zips job. I agree with the comment that it would be kind of a lateral move for him. CSU might also up his pay if they haven't already so they could keep him like they did the first time with Dennis Gates. Just speculation.

It is kind of different to wait more than a week to have the finals after the semis. I watched most of the game and wasn't really impressed with the skill level of either team. I turned it off for a while. It is division 2, so I was probably expecting too much after watching the D1 women last weekend. 🤔

Clarke did seem to play well down the stretch last year, but looking at his stats he played in 80 games and averaged 2.8 pts. Groce can probably find a suitable replacement. Hopefully Clarke can find a place he can contribute more.
