  1. So that's IUP and not IUPUI, just for (my) clarity. Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Division II school. Good luck to Garvin.
  2. I see Layne is going to Wright State. Good luck to her. I always wished she was a bit more aggressive and consistent with us.
  3. Apparently a bad judge of X's and O's in more ways than one. Geez. 🙄
  4. I'd love to have any of them, especially Scott, but I'm guessing these ladies want to go someplace they can be part of a winning program right away after losing for 3-4 years at Miami.
  5. Cluse and Wolf in portal, too. There go their top 3 players. 😬
  6. Good for her. I don't see a tweet to that effect yet. She was retweeting Miami basketball info a little over a week ago.
  7. That sure took a while. Doesn't make things any easier for the new coach. Peyton Scott should get the heck out of there now and go somewhere she can be part of a winning team.
  8. Not sure about that, but I appreciate your optimism. We return one player who has been a significant contributor at the DI level and no one coming in has played many, if any, minutes in DI. It's going to be a really young team with lots of opportunity to grow.
  9. I hope either one of them is someone with significant playing time at the DI level. I guess graduate transfer tends to indicate that.
  10. Stats say she played 53 minutes in two years at WSU, so not sure what we're getting yet. Good high school numbers and probably wants to get back close to home where she may play more. Welcome home kid.
  11. Well one thing I'm learning about our new coach, absent an organized public appearance, is that he's pretty tall. Judging from his tweets with Riley and the 6'5" Taponen he looks to be at least 6'6". 🤔
  12. New coach named today at CMU. They even had a press conference. 😉 https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/2023/04/20/kristin-haynie-central-michigan-chippewas-womens-basketball-coach/70133738007/
  13. We've added two bigs who played a total of 54 minutes this year. I guess I'll stay cautiously optimistic. Hopefully they were just in a log jam behind upper classmen.
  14. Names of players and coaches either in article or link. Turnover turmoil in Canada I guess. https://www.ubspectrum.com/article/2023/04/university-at-buffalo-womens-basketball-players-decommitting-five
  15. Was she hurt this year? She only played in 6 games all season.
  16. The ironic thing is I think you could build a pretty decent size arena right on campus where the JAR is now and Memorial Hall used to be.
  17. Just for the record, ESPN+ is $10 a month now and I believe $60 is for a bleacher seat. Still, prices are reasonable.
  18. Thanks for the inside info. Kind of ironic. He already has a 4 year old boy named Jackson. More irony. I'm sure he is busy, but the athletic department could have mentioned something by now.
  19. The new Zips women's basketball coach was named two weeks ago and we're still waiting for the press conference? It took BGSU a few days. 🤔
  20. I would think Boldon's built up enough credits to get another year or two. He's been pretty good there for quite a while now. Another 6-23 year may heat it up quickly, though.
  21. Freeman's a great kid and a great player for us, but I don't see how his current display of skills at 6'7" transfers to the NBA. At his size he would be a small forward and although he is a great rebounder, he is not a wide body like Fortson (or Barkley). His game is a lot like Trayce Jackson Davis of Indiana, who is 6'9". TJD stayed a fourth season to get better and still hasn't really shown a shot range facing the basket. Hopefully Freeman will learn a few things as he tests the NBA waters and come back and lead the Zips to another big season.
  22. Oesterle out at CMU. I'm surprised it took them this long. Also surprised Hendrix is still holding on at Miami.
  23. Ashland wins DII championship. Will BGSU hire another Ashland coach? 🤔
  24. Fralick to Michigan State ICYMI.
  25. For those of you interested or may have missed it, Melissa tweeted a picture of her new baby girl Cameron Jaye Jackson. Unfortunately, she also has tweeted that her father passed away around the 18th. Wide range of emotions going on in the Jackson household I guess.
