No, Miami was a candidate too until OU creamed them in the MAC Semis. CMU lost to Mich St by a point in the first round of the NCAA last year. Buffalo beat Rutgers in the first round and gave UConn a run for their money in the second, but lost. 2018 NCAA was when CMU and Buffalo made the Sweet 16. (Just so you're straight ?) I've really enjoyed following the MAC women in recent years.

As I recall he hurt his back and didn't play much the second half of the season. He looked to be a mini Big Dog. He looks a lot different these days having dropped about 30 lbs.

OU didn't make the dance, but did win 3 games in the WNIT. Tough to win right away with 5 or 6 new recruits and losing 5 seniors. I hope there is a consistent point guard among them.

Disappointing doubleheader today as the women also lose, to 0-4 Northern Illinois 70-65. Ladies have lost all 3 home games and are 1-4 in a 3 way tie for next to last place in the MAC. Hopefully they can turn it around soon before they dig themselves deeper.

I just saw a Facebook post that they are giving away 500 Rachel Tecca bobbleheads at the women's game Saturday. The caveat is you can pick up a voucher when the doors open for the men's game at 1 pm, but have to wait until the start of the second quarter of the women's game to get the bobblehead. I guess the strategy is to make people stay for some of the women's game (or come early for the men's game ?), but considering the start of the 2Q probably won't be until 5 pm or so I wonder how many people who are not big women's team fans will just say the heck with it.

I caught this guy on the playoff broadcast just before the bulk of the team ran out. Could this be the unpaid graduate assistant?

I see the sports information dept release says the Zips have the sixth rated class in the MAC and 98th nationally. That basically tells me it isn't great and it didn't suck. Oh well, that's how signing days go, especially for football. Check back in two years. Everybody gets better on signing day. ?

Not sure what would be of interest about his story at this point other than an example of all the rigmarole some kids go through to get into a school and get eligible these days. Doesn't sound like going to prep school helped much. Maybe I'm missing something. It will be a good story if he sticks around and contributes. His sister is doing a nice job for the women.

We all know there is nothing new here, so why bring in Dyer to cherry pick another story to "expose."? Let Marla Ridenour or George Thomas write this story if they want. And is it really a front page Sunday story? I'm as critical as many about the new regime and some of the past decisions, but I prefer to hear it from people who are around the subject on a consistent basis.
