On the radio after the Ohio game KD said that they recruited both Noah and Antino because he thinks they both shoot the ball well enough to play decent minutes together. It will be nice to have more than a few guys capable of handling the ball and initiating an offense. Also could help break the press, which has been tough to watch at times this year.
Bumping this up because it is National Signing Day for soccer. Any word on this? All of the buzz has been around football. Would love to know what recruits will be playing in the spring matches.
For anyone interested, former Zip Elliot Bradbrook has been captaining 5th tier English side Dartford FC since 2010. Obviously not the most prestigious league (only the top 4 leagues in England are considered full-time professionals), but still cool to see that he is still playing. Here's his bio from their website
KD said that they are going to wear them again this season, so auctioning them off probably wouldn't happen until after that. From this story: "UA plans for the purple jerseys to be worn twice a year, at what Dambrot hopes will be an annual Purple Out and for the Coaches vs. Cancer suits and sneakers game."
Obviously not the same thing, since Carmelo actually played/won at Syracuse for a year (and this is just a practice facility), but still somewhat relevant to this discussion I think. The Carmelo K Anthony Center at Syracuse
Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere, but Grantland showed a little love for Jatavis Brown. Granted it was in their list of "Patrick Willis All-Stars", which are the best players on bad teams, but still. Here's the link.
Didn't want to start a new topic, but found this picture of LeBron at his wife's juice bar wearing the black MBB shorts. If there is a better topic for this, please move it. Just figured people would like seeing it.
Bumping this up. Louis Cross tweeted yesterday that he is going to Syracuse. Brett Gravatt is also leaving, but I'm not sure where he is going. I'll be interested to see where others go. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pina leave as well.
