I heard a little blurb on the radio yesterday, I think it was on 1350. All I heard was that there is a possible stadium delay, maybe until March, due to lawsuits. I never heard anything else about it. Anyone else hear anything like this?

Actually, KD coached at CMU in the 90's for a little while. He was doing fine there, but due to some locker room talk he lost his job. He is and will be a good coach for us for many years.

Why can't the offense and defense both play well in the same game??? If one does well, the other does bad (usually the offense). If I see one more sideways pass or sideways run, especially with our third team RB this year I'm going to scream! Please find a QB for next season and please find an OC with some creativity.

I love the idea! I would just hope he could still remain the head basketball coach while being committed to all the other aspects of the athletic department.

We sure are doing a great impression of the Maurice Carthon led Browns. I think we even use some of the same plays. It's absolutely ridiculous. We have a 6' 4" WR in Arthur who could catch the ball pretty much over any DB we will ever face, but we would rather run screen plays and draws 70% of the time. I just don't get it.

Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? If Mack goes to Pitt, look for JD to go back to Pitt as their new head coach because Wannstadt is doing a horrible job there.

Based on what?? Our awesome attendance and fan support or raging success on the field?I don't want to be a smart ass or a pessimist, but let's be realists. We have nothing more to offer to a BCS conference right now than the Buffalos or Eastern Michigans of the world. Our program is stuck in a rut of going nowhere right now.I don't think we have much of a chance anytime soon either. What I'm saying is that we are better overall in our sports programs than they are.

It's funny reading these other school's message boards. I noticed they are starting to talk about moving out of the MAC. They are mentioning the Big East for football and A-10 for basketball mostly. The chance of them moving to a BCS conference is far less likely than Akron's chances.

All of this is making me sick. In terms of us having two large Universities within 15 miles, I don't see why we can't make it work. What's the problem? It's been this way for many many years. I say, take a look at the state of North Carolina. How do they do it? They have Duke, NC and NC State all very close to each other and they are thriving. All of them have great sports programs as well. Also, you could throw in Wake Forsest. They are maybe 45 minutes away from the other three Universities. I'm tired of hearing about all this political makework crap.

Is there a list that shows who has been redshirted this season? If not, does anyone know which players have been redshirted?

Destro is a very good football player. He's an excellent high school RB. With the Zips I see him playing on the defense though, most likely LB or DE. At 6' 3" 235 lbs in high school you know he will only get bigger once he hits the weights and training program at Akron. He doesn't have the speed at RB we need at this level. I hope we get him.
