Saw the article in today's ABJ. I hope we haven't lost our in-road to their recruits. Seems like we had a good thing going recently. It would be nice if we could get him to come aboard in some capacity to help further our local recruiting efforts.

As far as the OOC games, we should definitely beat VMI, but probably lose to Wisconsin. I think App St and Marshall are a coin flip. If the conference schedule is as Balsy predicts I say we go 5-3 in that span. (Losses to BG, Toledo and Western Michigan). Basically that would give us another 7-5 or a 6-6 record. Unfortunately I can't see us building on our win total after losing so many seniors this season.

App State and Georgia Southern have been football powerhouses at the lower level for years. I remember seeing Georgia Southern completely crush teams over the years and win, I believe, three IAA National Championships in the 1980's alone.

I agree. There were still way to many ticky tack fouls both ways. Take away about half of the calls and it would have been about right. Luckily they called more on Can't for once.

Hopefully Wistrcill is like Milton from Office Space. They just stop paying him and don't tell him...everything will work itself out on its own then to avoid conflict.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Kincade will be a better QB than Chapman when all is said and done.

I like his height and size for WR. We'll see about the rest.

How do you lose to NIU? I can understand in football, but never basketball!

I'm still annoyed about them losing to YSU a few weeks back.

The sad part is he was the only WR I felt would actually make the catch if thrown his way.

If Pohl is our starting QB again this year we are in trouble. Don't expect anymore wins than what we've been getting the past couple seasons. If we want a better team, we need a leader that can make the correct decisions and be consistent.

I totally agree with the first five. Ritz has great footwork as a lineman. Kincade's video didn't show much, but from everything that's been mentioned about him be should be very good. The last five in your list are all a coin toss.

One advantage we have is that we are pretty local to the State Championship game venues. I would think that we would have scouts at all of the Championship games for sure. I watched bits of a few games and saw a lot of nice players. I don't remember any names, but DII Loveland had a freshman who ran for 175 yards against Glenville. I would take a look at those lineman for sure. If a freshman can run all over Glenville, they obviously have an outstanding line.

Their forum sounds an awful lot like ours with some of the stupid arguments back and forth on non-sense focused on a word or two used by someone. I thought it was comical. The talk about their marketing department sounded very familiar.

I tell my son all the time how important defense is in basketball (all sports for that matter). He is good at it, but thinks that since he isn't the best ball handler or shooter that he shouldn't try out for a travel team or other teams because the other players are better at scoring. I think most people think that way and it's hard to get them to understand.

I think maybe half the people get that Zipmeister. LOL
