George uncovers MAJOR defensive improvement stats:

"Over the past three games, the Zips have improved their defensive field-goal percentage to 43 percent from more than 44 percent before."

BIG if true.

That video reminds me of the way Akron/Kent games USED to be.  I'll take an intense, chippy game.  It's very entertaining for the fans, and will teach some of our guys that we have to match Kent physically in games like this.

I'll take a 20 point blow out, thank you very much.

Oh, don't mistake what I said for thinking that I want another close game.  That 2011 overtime title game almost sent me to the Cardiac Unit at Akron General.

Here's a great clip from the 2012 home Akron/Kent game.

I want this kind of NOISE in the JAR tonight.  And I want to see more emotional leaders come to forefront, like Brian Walsh does in these clips.

NEVER GETS OLD!

I really wish the person who uploaded this would've caught how choppy it was and re-uploaded it.

Such a phenomenal ending. One of the top 10 great NCAA Men's College Basketball Conference Tournament Finals ever, I'd say (although I am bias...).

Apologies for my former self (I shamefully admit that I am the uploader of the video).

I captured the video using a window capture while streaming the game in Firefox.

I think in my excitement about the results I didn't care much about quality as I did getting the memory uploaded as quickly as possible. In hindsight, it kills me to see that I dropped the ball on the quality of all of the videos I uploaded.

I attended that game live, though. Such a great memory. Funny to see the familiar faces and realize how long ago that was.

Just happy to have the video.  It keeps on giving.  The crazy Kent woman praying, the crying Kent cheerleader, the Kent player on the floor,  Darryl Roberts and his mom.  One of the greatest nights or McKnights.  (Don't forget Brett's clutxh free throws for us to overtime...I think).

Geno and Kent had a great run in the NIT that year.  Then he dumped his players and is now an asst coach in Long Island.  Karma.

The culprit has stepped forward... ;)

No problem my friend. I can absolutely relate to the elation that was felt by all of us that night. I very much appreciate you uploading it in the first place. It was a blast to watch live, and is a true enjoyment to watch and reminisce about that night.

Seeing Brett McKnight hugging his late father Phil in the stands is a tear-jerker.

Phil was a treasure, and a really funny guy. I will never forget when we sat by the McKnights up at Bowling Green. Phil engaged and enraged the entire BG faithful with his views on the officials which evolved into a cross court shouting match.   " Integrity of the game"
