LZIp
Can't believe this one isn't started yet! If Toledo beats WMU, we get a rematch with them. If WMU knocks them off and NIU beats CMU, then that is who we get. I would think we match up better with NIU, but I wouldn't mind a chance to get avenge the beat down we were given by Toledo. Looks like we will get an extra 3 days rest than our opponent regardless of who we face. Ticket options for the game that the U seems to be offering: See you in Detroit!

skip-zip
Give me the matchup that gives us the best chance of winning. The guys in the booth talked about this in the postgame. They talked about how Amato's defense has done well at stopping one-dimensional teams this year, but struggled mightily against teams that can do a lot of things well. And they specifically pointed out that NIU is that team that relies on one thing to beat you.

CDMac
Got our tickets for the game this morning and booked hotel this afternoon. See y'all in Detroit! Oh and, I was successful in getting my hands on the FULL ROO helmet after the game. I had to return it to its rightful owner of course but I nonetheless got a pic of me in that sucker! EDIT: Hey, I'm 46 but I'm still a kid at heart! Edited November 22, 2017 by CDMac
LZIp
^^ I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious of who your kid is. Does anybody know what all this pregame party entails? I called a ticket rep and he didn't seem too sure. Maybe some appetizers and a cash bar? $35 seems excessive for just that.

It was pretty nice so I'm assuming this is the same but i don't have a clue.

Ticket office really didn't have much info (like you said) other than, "yeah, they'll be some food, etc." I gave him my CC # and got the tix and party pass anyway I figured the cost of the party would just be a donation to the cause. 3 hours ago, LZIp said: ^^ I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious of who your kid is Oh, I thought y'all knew. He's a freshman, redshirting this year, plays a position that starts with the letter Q, he's significantly taller than me BUT, I'm much better looking That being said, I'm TEAM first; I believe the coaches will make the right decisions for the team when the time comes. We believe in Alex and what he brings to the table and will hold off on commenting on QB play as to not cloud personal agendas. I think there will be a good, healthy QB battle come spring but right now our attention is on Dec 2nd and the MAC Championship game! GO ZIPS! CDMac
On another note, anyone have a good idea of good places to stay in Detroit? We were booking hotel but thought we might ask about location as downtown around the stadium may not be the best area?? Any advice on a good location not too far from Ford Field? 72 Roo
Are you sure you are much better looking? Your son sets a pretty high standard. Glad your family is on board with our Zip family. Your son has great potential here. We have to play better football, but we have come so far that sometimes we lose sight of the growth we've made and will continue. Count on it. Now if you want to see a really good looking man you need to get my picture

I was looking online and there are some travel sites that will give you distance from hotel to Ford Field. I saw a hilton garden inn that was .02 miles from the Field. HGIs are always good. If I go, I would probably look for something in walking distance. If game is at noon that screws up any check out. Thanks man.. I was thinking more along the lines of good neighborhood/bad neighborhood more than proximity to the stadium. I know Detroit can be a tough city and I just didn't know if there were neighborhoods/areas to clearly stay away from.

Balsy
My god NIU has dominated the MAC Championship game. Good lord. I almost wont to face Toledo because good lord letting NIU have another crack at it is just depressing. And my god, Toledo has been a GOOD West team for years but has yet to crack a MAC C berth? Goodness! And I don't feel bad AT ALL for Ohio. They were in the MAC C just last year. Their fans can get over themselves.

Balsy, Toledo was last in the MACC in 2004, but have more appearances than anyone except Marshall and NIU. They've cracked their share of berths Akron is now the only team to be in the MACC exactly two times - from current members, Buffalo, Ball State, and Kent have been in once, and EMU has yet to make it. East leads the West 11-9 since the first MACC back in '

Wifey and I spent last Saturday night atthe Marriott at Renaisance Center and had a blast, and completely safe. Wonderful rooms, great bar and restaurant. Walked to the Christmas Tree lighting, the walked to Greektown....great area there...bars, restaurants, casino. Don’t let the past rep scare you off, downtown D is having a real rebirth. zipsrule
Do we have to call for tickets? There is a link for tickets on gozips.com, but when you go to select tickets, it tells you there aren't any available.

I didn't try the other links for additional options. https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/zips/EN/buy/details/17MACFB EDIT: If you go to this link, there are links for all the different packages. Don't know if these are the same links you tried but maybe these may help. http://gozips.com/sports/2017/5/25/tickets-index.aspx
