31 to 32 Kent at the half

Del la Rosa with a cheap shot on Parrish after the clock ran out.

Why does kent ALWAYS have a thug on their team?

5 point lead and the ball with about 4 minutes to go. Stupid turnover and a quick 3 turned the tide. Another poor finish. Both halves.

Nothing new.  They just pass the torch to the next group.

We also got a little deja vu from the MAC Final last year, with Walker having another monster game.

OFFSETTING TECHNICALS?! WHAT DID PARRISH DO?!

Many of us wondering the same thing.  The part that is mind blowing is how much time the refs spent at the monitor and talked amongst themselves.  You'd think after all that time, they would have gotten it right.

They would not have been looking at it to question their decision to assess a double technical.  They would have only been checking to see if anyone did anything to warrant a flagrant.

I am clueless as to why they gave Parrish a technical. He was walking off the floor with his back turned to De la Rosa and he got elbowed and shoved from behind.

I know what you're thinking based on what you were seeing.  It could have been verbal.  Who knows.

I hate when we can't get a single-technical on just Kent in a situation like that, because of the way they play.  It allows the team that's really causing the problem to walk away 50/50

I thought the effort was really good today.  I saw a good team play, some unselfish passing and some really good effort.  Unfortunately, this team folded in the last 5 minutes at the same time Kent got hot from the 3 line.  I think if this team shows this effort the rest of the season we could still get some wins.  I thought that Groce made a bad sub in the last 5 minutes taking out Parish and putting in Smith.  Having Smith play forward and Klac playing center puts us at a disadvantage offensively since neither can score with any consistentcy. (They had a total of 2 points with one shot between them)  Parish made a big 3 the last 5 minutes and was playing well.  As soon as Smith came in a Kent player blew past him and made a layup.  I would like to see Klac post up his man.  This team does not get him the ball in the post.  I did like how we spread the floor when Utomi was playing center.  It opened up the paint and Duvivier and Jimond had some nice drives even though Jimond could not finish.  This team may stand a chance at Bowling Green with this effort.  Go Zips!
